God in me. Jesus in my heart. Spirit dwells within….

God in me.
Jesus in my heart.
Spirit dwells within.

Then someone comes along and say “Ah, that’s Hinduism.”

How do we explain it is not?

    I mean, it sounds close.

  2. Angel Hutchings says:

That should help. Its his talk, Jesus among secular gods

I my friend am most likely your man for this issue. I used to study and practice Hinduism a lot.
God says a lot to those who are wise in their own eyes, seeking their own way, and denying God. IE. Self realisation, IE Hinduism, IE, spiritualism…
I always share these verses with the self realised or spiritualists from any tradition, as they all deny the one and only true God whether they know or not, and they are very close to Lucifer, no joke…

    1 Corinth.19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Isaiah 14.12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

How similar, what God says to Lucifer, is basically the same thing all spiritualists are doing. Myself in the past included.
If your Hindu friend worships a false God in strict Shaivism or other god, and not really self realisation involved, then i would take a different angle to expose the false god.
Just let me know more of the specific Hinduism your friend practices and I can answer more specific.

Apparently, you don’t know much about Hinduism… it hits all the theisms. But the one you talk about is Pantheism. Pantheism thinks God is in everything and that everything as a whole is God. To be inhabited by our Creator is entirely different. My body is the temple of God and He inhabits me and brings life to this empty shell of a man and I can worship him.

  6. Micki Shilvock says:

There is no ‘god’ in Hinduism who saves. Jesus came from heaven, clothed Himself with the form of a man, lived a sinless life and performed many miracles. The greatest of His miracles is that He singlehandedly paid our sin debt, died out of His love for us all, and after three days and nights in the grave, rose from the dead! He appeared to at least 500 people over the next 40 days and then ascended to heaven, having left us with the promise that He will return for us. He is the most attested to person to ever exist and there are more than 20,000 extant copies of the New Testament dating all the way back to the second century, speaking of Him. He fulfilled numerous prophecies given by Old Testament prophets.

How does Hinduism compare to this?

  7. James Steve Mazuran says:

Self realisation traditions are seeking wisdom. And what did God just say about wisdom I shared? There is more on wisdom God says also.

  8. Greg Barolet says:

If all is one; What is wron?

  9. James Steve Mazuran says:

Also, that Jesus is absolutely not part of Hinduism at all. Jesus said himself who He is and who he is not. Ask Jesus.

  10. Greg Barolet says:

Hinduism has 38 million deities in the pantheon.

  11. James Steve Mazuran says:

Every other tradition wants to steal Jesus and make him their own or mold him to their imagination. Sorry but Jesus says no.

  12. Neng Khan Thang says:

Hinduism believes everything to be god and God is everything. It’s called ‘Pantheism’ and Christian faith is living faith in the living God who lives in us and we live in Him.

  13. David Weinstein says:

God is not in everyone. Everyone is the creation of God, so life , their own spirit dwells in them. But those who are born again and obey God have the Spirit of the living God in them!

  14. David Weinstein says:

God comes to live in them at salvation!

  15. James Steve Mazuran says:

Simple answer. No it’s not Mr Hindu, sorry.
And Jesus is Jesus, you can’t steal him, he doesn’t belong to you unless you believe Him ALONE to be God. No other god exists -jesus.

  16. Patrick Boren says:

Hinduism does not preach Christ. The god that is in them is the god of this world, which we call demonic oppression or possession. The God in the believer is the One and only God who only dwells in born again believers.

  17. Melissa Nicole says:

Because no other religion gives us Jesus. You can’t just steal Him to fit into something else. No other religion gives true salvation through grace. He is alive. He is not just a spirit.

  18. Moon River says:

They Can Readily Understand Concept The Salvation Of Christ And The Righteousness Of Jesus, Not Our Own Righteousness That Can Save Us But The Righteousness Of Jesus Christ, ‘They Have A Little Light When We Share Our Light It Will Reflect In The Darkness.

  19. VaajLeng Yang says:

    Calvinism?

  20. Tricia Laboy says:

Dont pay attention. N pray for them.. darkness cannot comprehend light.
