Hamas Fajr-5 Missiles and UAV Targets Severely Damaged
The third day of Operation Pillar of Defense is coming to a close. Throughout the day, the IDF carried out extensive air strikes, targeting over 230 terror sites in the Gaza Strip. Below is a quick summary of main targets struck by the IDF offensive.
Fajr-5 Rocket Launch Sites
The Fajr-5 rocket is an Iranian-made missile, and one of the most advanced assets in Hamas’ arsenal. It can reach over 60 kilometers, and threatens the lives of over 3.5 million Israelis.
Since the beginning of Operation Pillar of Defense, the IDF has destroyed a significant portion of the Hamas’ Fajr-5 arsenal, many of them in underground launch sites.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Infrastructure
Earlier today, Israeli Air Force aircraft inflicted severe damage to Hamas’ UAV infrastructure. Seen below is aerial footage of Hamas enacting a test run for a UAV in Khan Yunis, located in the southern Gaza Strip. Many of those capabilities are now greatly reduced.
Over the past few hours, the IDF has targeted two senior Hamas operatives: Muhammad Abu-Jalal, a Hamas company commander in the Al-Muazi region, located in the central Gaza Strip, and Khaled Shah’yer, a senior operative involved in Hamas’ rocket capabilities.
