I have heard many claim that unless someone speaks in tongues, they are not saved. I think Paul may have a different view.
Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

Jesus Said: “Let NO MAN deceive you.” …. therefore, we should always be as the Bereans, don’t believe anything till you have checked with God’s Word first, then if God says: “Good” …. then believe Him.
You have to make sure that you have the Holy Spirit to be sure that you are save.
I’ve not only heard this, but been told this. I’ve gone to more than just a few different denominations of churches I’m retired military and my church affiliation was NOT always available in the town where I was stationed. So the Pentecostal church that I DID attend actually REQUIRED speaking in tongues as evidence of faith in God. IMHO, this couldn’t be more wrong.
