• From the streets of Tehran to capitals around the world, the current crisis in Iran feels like a moment of historic acceleration.
• Young men and women—many in their twenties—have taken to the streets demanding change.
• Their courage has been met with brutal reprisals, with thousands reportedly killed and many more detained under an escalating crackdown.
• Meanwhile, the world watches, caught between fear, confusion, and hope.

About that time, a Rapture Ready reader sent a link to an article about Canada to me, and I responded, “Canada is gone.”

The reader wrote back:

• YES! The entire world is gone.
• They call evil good and good evil in sanctuary cities, protecting alien criminals from law enforcement.
• They call men women and women men with not an iota of irony from women who think a castrated man should roam around female locker rooms.
• Had Paul even imagined what his words would mean at the end of days?
• Maybe because he knew about Sodom.
• Let’s not forget Paul’s other terse statement in I Thes. regarding Peace and Safety because these words are so often repeated from the White House with the world in turmoil.
• The indication of “sudden destruction” is a certainty on my short view horizon.
• The pieces are all in place after a decades long road of apostate botched policies.

I agree.

I have been studying Bible prophecy for more than 50 years, and I have never seen anything like it.

It is beyond speculation.

Prophetically related events are happening faster and faster (like birth pains).

Historic acceleration is a good way to describe it (or perhaps, prophesied historic acceleration).

Here are some recent current events that appear to validate this:

One, concerning anti-Semitism and corruption in the UN: on Jan. 20, 2026 (a day that Israeli National Security Min. Itamar Ben-Gvir hailed as a historic day, a holiday, a very important day for governance), Israel began demolishing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) headquarters in Jerusalem.

Ben-Gvir believes Jan. 20, 2026 was a historic day because a corrupt UN agency that supports terrorism was kicked out of Israel.

Two, concerning peace in the Middle East: on Jan. 16, 2026, Pres. Trump said:

• Phase IIof the Gaza peace plan has officially begun.
• As Chairman of the Board of Peace, I am backing a newly appointed Palestinian Technocratic Government, the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, supported by the Board’s High Representative, to govern Gaza during its transition.

(My opinion: It is impossible to be sure at this time, but this could be an historic acceleration of the future 7-year peace treaty with many that will be confirmed by the Antichrist. It is important to understand that God gave all the Promised Land to Israel, and He will not tolerate a Palestinian State in Gaza.)

(Update: On Jan. 19, 2026, it was reported that Trump has invited Russian Pres. Putin to serve on his Board of Peace.)

(Update: On Jan. 19, 2026, it was reported that Trump has invited representatives from Turkey and Qatar to serve on his Board of Peace. Israel’s Prime Min. Netanyahu immediately said, “Turkish or Qatari soldiers will not be in the Strip. We have a certain dispute with our friends in the United States regarding the composition of the advisory council that will accompany the processes in Gaza.”)

(Update: On Jan. 20, 2026, it was reported that Pres. Trump has invited 52 world leaders to join his Board of Peace, and he will host a charter signing ceremony on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum meeting on Jan. 22, 2026. Trump said, the Board of Peace will “solidify peace in the Middle East” and be a “new approach to resolving global conflict.” As far as this writer is concerned, it is beginning to sound a lot like a covenant of peace in the Middle East.)

Three, concerning events in the Middle East: an op-ed in the Jerusalem Post on Jan. 15, 2026, said:

• The reshaping of the modern Middle Eastis underway, moving at a speed that is difficult to fully grasp.
• For the average news consumer, the cascade of events over the past few weeks may feel less like a coherent geopolitical strategy and more like scrambled eggs, or a dozen random tabs open on a desktop.
• But for the architects of this regional redesign, and for those watching closely enough to connect the dots, this is the Middle East’s once-in-a-century moment.
• It is not chaos, but convergence – representing the most significant strategic opening the region has seen since the end of World War II.
• History rarely offers moments this clear or this open.
• When it does, the greatest risk is not ambition, but hesitation.

(My comment: Many prophecy teachers are aware of this cascade of fast-happening events in the Middle East during the last few weeks. Many have called it a convergence of the signs.)

Four, concerning an increase in knowledge and travel at the end on the age: on Jan. 13, 2026, it was announced that NASA and the U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE) are planning to deploy a nuclear fission reactor on the Moon by 2030.

The goal is to establish a sustainable human presence on the Moon and to use it as a testing ground for deeper space missions, including crewed trips to Mars.

Five, concerning the coming world government after the Rapture: on Jan. 15, 2026, Canadian Prime Min. Carney was commenting (publicly and on video) on a recent agreement with China, and he said, “I believe the progress that we have made and the partnership (with China) sets us up well for the New World Order.”

(My comment: Pres. Trump opposes the New World Order, but Trump won’t be around forever, and many Democrats are very much for it.)

Six, concerning Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan in the Middle East: on Jan. 16, 2026, Pres. Trump announced who would be on two different boards: 1) The Gaza Executive Board, and 2) The Founding Executive Board.

On Jan. 17, 2926, Israel released a statement that says:

• The announcement regarding the composition of the Gaza Executive Board, operating under the Peace Conference, was made without coordination with Israel and runs counter to Israel’s policy.
• The Prime Minister has instructed the Foreign Minister to raise the issue directly with the U.S. Secretary of State.

(My comment: Pres. Trump has created a board that will impact Israel without consulting Israel about it, and Israel opposes what Trump has done.)

Seven, concerning Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan in the Middle East (and perhaps peace and safety on Earth): on Jan. 17, 2026 it was reported that Pres. Trump has sent invitations to leaders from more than 50 nations to join his Board of Peace (BoP).

Trump said, “Members of the Board will be announced shortly, but I can say with certainty that it is the Greatest and Most Prestigious Board ever assembled at any time, any place.”

The New York Times reported that critics have questioned whether Trump is attempting to establish a U.S.-controlled alternative to the United Nations Security Council.

Critics believe Trump wants his BoP to evolve into handling peace issues in other nations and other wars.

(FYI: It has been reported that the Gaza Executive Board will advise Trump’s Board of Peace. So, there are three boards, and Trump has appointed people to the Gaza Executive Board without consulting Israel. This is turning out to be dangerous for Israel and the world.)

(Update: On Jan. 17, 2026, an Israeli official said, “The countries that resuscitated Hamas cannot be the ones that replace it. Those that support it and continue to host it even now will not be given a foothold in Gaza. Period.” He was objecting to putting Turkey, Qatar and Egypt on the Gaza Executive Board.)

Eight, concerning the spread of Islam in the U.S.: on Jan. 17, 2026, the new Lieutenant Gov. of Virginia was sworn in with her hand on the Quran.

Nine, concerning God blessing those that bless Israel and cursing those that curse Israel: it was recently reported that:

• Robert Garson, Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, said he had been in talks with the state department about providing sanctuary for British Jews fleeing anti-Semitism.
• Garson said the UK is no longer a safe place for Jews.
• He added that he could see no future for Jews in the UK and laid much of the blame on Sir Keir Starmer for allowing anti-Semitismto flourish.

(My comment: The UK continues to decline on the world stage. It is not only becoming anti-Semitic, it is becoming anti-Christian, and we should expect the situation to get worse.)

Ten, concerning the waves and seas roaring (riots, protests, demonstrations, etc.) at the end of the age: the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating after a group of activists in Minnesota disrupted a Sunday service at a Southern Baptist church in St. Paul on Jan. 19, 2026.

The protesters, including members of the Racial Justice Network and Black Lives Matter Minnesota, entered the sanctuary of Cities Church during the service led by senior pastor Jonathan Parnell.

The protesters allege that one of the church’s pastors, David Easterwood, leads a local ICE field office in St. Paul.

Eleven, concerning a departing from the faith at the end of the age: on Jan. 19, 2026, it was reported that:

• The Catholic Church and its allied denominations in Jerusalem just declared war on Christian Zionism.
• In a statement released January 17, the Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in the Holy Land—led by the Roman Catholic hierarchy along with Eastern Catholic, Orthodox, and other traditional church leaders—condemned Christian support for Israel as a “damaging ideology” that misleads the public and harms Christian unity.
• The statement represents the Catholic Church’s most direct assault yet on the millions of evangelical Christians whose biblical interpretation leads them to support the Jewish state.

(My comment: The idea that Christian support for Israel is a damaging ideology is just the opposite of what the Bible teaches.)

Twelve, concerning the protests in Iran where thousands have been killed, wounded, arrested, etc.: on Jan. 18, 2026, it was reported that UN human rights experts have said nothing.

(Update: On Jan. 19, 2026, Israel’s Prime Min. Netanyahu said, “No one can predict what tomorrow will bring in Iran, but one thing is clear: no matter what happens—Iran will not return to being what it was.”)

(Comment: A reader sent the following to me: You can’t help wondering why Trump hasn’t acted on his promises to protect the Iranian people from the Iranian regime? By attacking Iran! Who knows? Maybe God wants the Iranian regime saved so that He can destroy all the Iranians who join with Russia in the coming invasion of Israel, as prophesied in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39! And…at the same time, destroy both Iranian and Russian leaders! Nothing is impossible with God.)

Thirteen, concerning persecution of Christians at the end of the age: on Jan. 20, 2025, Worthy News reported that the era of foreign missionaries in Turkey is drawing to a close as authorities increasingly detain, deport, or bar Christian workers from reentering the Muslim-majority nation.

Fourteen, concerning an increase in the frequency and intensity of natural disasters: on Jan. 22, 2026, it was reported that more than 200 million people are in the path of a potentially historic winter storm that’s expected to extend over 2,000 miles and deliver crippling snow and ice across more than 35 states, all told beginning on Jan. 23, 2026.

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God, who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
