    It says it.

    1. fulfilled prophecy; 2. internal consistency, especially in the original languages; 3. miraculous preservation; 4. changed lives. I could go on, but it’s dinner time. 🙂

When I read the Bible it comes alive, it touches my heart & changes my life

    Prophecy…

  5. Tony Chan says:

    Define “prove”.

  6. Linda Agar says:

Who is trying to prove it? Once you take on the responsibility for what others believe you have decided on a fools errand. Faith is between the individual and God. I am an non-Biblical Christian. I could not accept the virgin birth or the atonement doctrine (Jesus died for our sins) but found The Urantia Book that supports Jesus is a son of God who came to us to teach about a God of love over the Torah’s God of fear. It is the most profound text I have ever encountered. But it explains that anyone can develop a personal relationship with God even if you have never read the Bible or The Urantia Book.

  7. Chris Watson says:

One simple proof was how often women are a prominent part of God’s story, which would not have been a factor if the Bible had merely human writers. ✌

  8. Clancy Gilroy says:

    How can you disprove it?

  9. Victor Van Der Woude says:

Best you can do for any belief system is show that it is logical and a reasonable position to take.

    For the Bible

    1. Historical evidence back to creation.
    2. Literary and thematic cohesion.
    3. Eye witness accounts especially in NT.
    4. Miracles/revelations demonstrated in the Bible.
    5. Actual persons and continuity of their witness in history – genealogy.
    6. External witnesses
    7. Prophets demonstration of divine working in History
    8. Prophetic fulfilment.
    9. Inner witness of the Holy Spirit.
    10. Historic manifestations of the divine in history.
    11. Christ’s personal testimony.
    12. Apostle Paul divine experience and about face in his belief which he demonstrated was in line with Old Testament Judaism.
    13. Logical and seductive reasoning.
    14. Philosophical arguments.
    15. Personal experience rational or existential.
    16. Demonstration or manifestation of the Holy Spirit.
    17. Etc

Even if you have overwhelming evidence- some people won’t ever believe.

  10. Kevin Taylor says:

It is not ours to prove it is. It is theirs to prove it isn’t.

“semper necessitas probandi incumbit ei qui agit”. It means: “the necessity of proof always lies with the person who lays charges.”

If you read and study the Bible, you will soon discover its the infallible word of God. You will discover that God speaks through His word.

    By living it ?

  15. Chris Waguespack says:

I can’t prove it to you, only God can do that, like He did for me.

  16. Daron Maxwell says:

    It Proves itself….through Prophecy.

  17. Ben Incoll says:

For over 2500 years it’s been historically, scientifically and prophetically correct. If that’s not good enough then nothing ever will be.

  18. Robin Infante says:

We don’t prove it, God does 🙂

  19. Sam Piazza says:

Try doing what it says and it will prove itself to you.

  20. Nicholas Garrett says:

I don’t bother trying to make objective arguments from the over abundance of primary sources – mostly because atheism is not about a lack of information initially. In my belief it represents obstinacy before the creator. “ he told the sun and moon to take its place in the sky and they obeyed, he told the stars to take their position in the sky and they sang his glory, he told the great sea you will come to this point and go no further and the sea adored. And he looked at you and I and said come, and we said ‘ no we will not come.’

I usually challenge the individual to some type of subjective experience such as attempting prayer for a week or actually reading the Bible for a month.

There is ultimately a better chance for someone to come around to truth in this way in my opinion. It also saves a lot of haste because most are not set up to have theological debates – Christians and atheists – myself included.

  21. Christian Huls says:

God asked that same question, rhetorically through Moses in Deuteronomy.

The answer God gives is predictive prophecy (Deuteronomy 18:20-22) and consistency (Deuteronomy 13:1-3).

Predictive prophecy that has been fulfilled is the most important evidence. It is absent from all other religious writings. The writings and teachings of Buddha, Confucius, and even Mohammed don’t contain any predictive prophecy. The only prophecy in the Qur’an is a self-fulfilling prophecy about Mohammed returning to Mecca before he dies.

The Bible is a reliable collection of historical documents written down by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. These eyewitnesses reported supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies. And they claimed that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.

Evidence that these writings were in fact reliable and divine in origin are the numerous detailed fulfilled prophecies that are recorded in Scripture and verified in history; scientific principles that are recorded in Scripture which are hundreds or even thousands of years ahead of modern science; and thousands of archaeological finds that have always confirmed the historical accounts within Scripture, and never refuted it.

  22. Jim Koverman says:

Here are five reasons to show that the Bible is the Word of God.

First, the Bible is the Word of God because of its scientific accuracy. For instance, in Job 26:7, it is written that God “hangeth the earth upon nothing” How did Job know that the earth hung in space before the age of modern astronomy and space travel? The Holy Spirit told him. Also, scientists of Isaiah’s day didn’t know the topography of the earth, but Isaiah said, “It is [God] that sitteth upon the circle of the earth” (Isaiah 40:22). The word for “circle” here means a globe or sphere. How did Isaiah know that God say upon the circle of the earth? By divine inspiration.
Secondly, the Bible is affirmed through historical accuracy. There’s a story about handwriting on the wall that is found in the fifth chapter of Daniel? Belshazzar hosted a feast where a hand appeared out of nowhere and began to write on a wall. The king asked for someone to interpret the writing. Daniel gave the interpretation. Basing their opinion on Babylonian records, the historians claim this never happened. According to the records, the last king of Babylon was not Belshazzar, Nabonidas. And so, they said, the Bible is in error. There wasn’t a record of a king named Belshazzar. Well, archeologists uncovered in 1853, an inscription that was found on a cornerstone of a temple built by Nabonidas, to the god Ur, which read: “May I, Nabonidas, king of Babylon, not sin against thee. And may reverence for thee dwell in the heart of Belshazzar, my first-born favorite son.” From other inscriptions, it was learned that Belshazzar and Nabonidas were co-regents. Nabonidas traveled while Belshazzar stayed home to run the kingdom. Now that we know that Belshazzar and Nabonidas were co-regents, it makes sense that Belshazzar would say that Daniel would be the third ruler. Proving, along with so much else. The historical accuracy of the Word of God.
Third, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reads as one book. And there is incredible unity to the Bible. The Bible is one book, and yet it is made up of 66 books, was written by at least 40 different authors over a period of about 1600 years, in 13 different countries and on three different continents. It was written in at least three different languages by people in all professions. The Bible forms one beautiful temple of truth that does not contradict itself theologically, morally, ethically, doctrinally, scientifically, historically, or in any other way. This shows there was really one author; the Holy Spirit.
Fourth, it has been uncovered that the Bible is the only book in the world with accurate prophecy. When you read the prophecies of the Bible, you simply have to stand back in awe. There are over 300 precise prophecies that deal with Jesus Christ in the Old Testament that are fulfilled in the New Testament. To say that these are fulfilled by chance is an astronomical impossibility.
Finally, the Bible is a Book of the Ages. First Peter 1:25 says: “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” No book has ever had as much opposition as the Bible. Men have laughed at it, scorned it, burned it, ridiculed it, and made laws against it. But the Word of God has survived. And it is applicable today as much as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow.
It’s so majestically deep that scholars could swim and never touch the bottom. Yet so wonderfully shallow that a little child could come and get a drink of water from it without a fear of drowning.
The Bible is God’s precious, scientifically accurate, historical Holy Word. We can be guided by faith in it all the more i

If you are born again and the true word is in you, you just know it is.

There’s no purpose or possibility in proving the spiritual things to the carnal mind

By the prophecies declared in the old testaments and Jesus Christ. They are all coming to pass. One by one.

  28. Ofori Akoto says:

Simple Jesus Christ quoted from the scriptures

  29. Mark Beecher says:

You can prove it by the Word of Jesus Christ, who WAS The Word! In a televised debate between Christian Apologist, John Lennox & Militant Atheist, Richard Dawkins, Lennox got Dawkins to admit, on camera, that Jesus Christ was a real historical person – based on the testimony of numerous College Professors, such as those in Oxford & Cambridge. Jesus, Himself, stated that the Hebrew Bible (the “Scriptures”) was not only the infallible Word of God, but that ALL the persons mentioned, were real historical persons! He also claimed that He existed BEFORE Abraham, He came down from Heaven, and that “Moses wrote about” Him (Jesus)! Jesus claimed to be the I AM / YHWH and said if you’ve seen Him, you’ve seen God. There were numerous eye witnesses to the Birth, Miracles, Ministry, Death, Resurrection & Ascension of Jesus Christ (there were NO witnesses to Muhammad receiving the Quran, nor his night trip, into Heaven on a winged-white horse … nor the day Gautama Buddha received his “enlightenment”). Jesus claimed to be God and that the Scriptures are the Word of God, because He, Jesus Christ IS the Living Word ✝️

If we go the other way and ask can it be disproved?
A mighty yes!… Just disprove the Resurrection of Jesus and we talk no more!

  31. Joshua Wigley says:

I don’t need to. The Bible defends itself

  32. Antonio Di Monaco says:

Prophecy, no other “sacred books” have prophesied the future events, 81% of the prophecies have been fulfilled the remainder 19% are of end times and will be fulfilled exactly how the Bible says. The Bible has stood the test of time against much opposition and still is the most sold book in the world.

  33. John Wolf says:

I suppose one way would be the number of times that sinful humanity has been changed by applying it’s precepts to their lives. I think another would be the number of times throughout history that wicked individuals have attempted to destroy it, only to find it has survived every attempt, fulfilling it’s own words, that the Word of the Lord endures forever. They are gone and their names forgotten, but God’s word is still here.

  34. Simon Friis Larsen says:

By the impossibility of the contrary. If the Bible isn’t the self-authenticated revealed word of God as it claims to be, you can’t make sense out of anything at all. In order to know anything, you either have to know everything (or else what you know to be absolutly true can later be contradicted by something you don’t already know), or have truth revealed to you by someone who does know everything, God. We all know God exist (Romans 1:18-21). Now repent and give yoy life to Jesus so God may lead you to knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25).

  35. Bill Martone says:

    Test it!

  36. Oche Michael Oche says:

The Bible is a Book of Books it contains the WORD OF GOD but it’s not the word of God because the Devil also spoke in the Bible.

Thousands or True Prophecy plus it Works in peoples Lives too !

  38. Robert Finney says:

Set out to prove it’s not.

  39. Robert Pawley says:

You cannot as it isn’t. This is circular argument fallacy

  40. Claudette Renee says:

the Spirit testifies that it is. If you doubt, then you are not saved. “The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit.”

  41. Tatsuya Yoshino says:

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2nd Timothy 3:16-17)

  42. John Carson says:

I cannot prove to another person what something is or isn’t. I can only provide evidences. The conclusions drawn from an individual depends on whether or not they want to accept what is presented to them.

Don’t spend too much time presenting facts (they can produce endless debates that only fuels the ego). Jesus often said, “Have you never read…?” to those that knew what was already true but suppress the truth because of their own unrighteousness. He would then use the Word to prick their conscience.

The purpose of the Scriptures is to point to the Life-Giver, but people refuse to come Jesus Christ to have life.
