I haven’t seen or experienced abundant life since I accepted JESUS as my LORD and SAVIOUR.
On the contrary I have experienced wars on all fronts battling the hosts of hell everywhere I go.
Is this abundant life..?
Jesus said “I have come so that they may have LIFE… life abundant”.

Depends on what you think as abundant. Also, our abundant Life will be in Heaven, not on Earth.

That life is not talking about riches and money in this life. Christ promises persecution. Look at the life of the apostle Paul.

Brother, it is not about the life here on earth. Look at John 10:28, that was the life Jesus was talking about.

Abundant life, it refers to eternal life, forever life, meaning no more suffering, pain, death, but live to infinity. All these above you can’t truly find it here on earth, but in heaven which means they are waiting for you life after death.

Isara Mo, The devil is out to rob people of the abundant life, so we need to bind him in the name of Jesus, and beging to live that abundant life that Jesus has given us.

You must read this verse in context. “The thief does not come except that he may steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
Contextually, Jesus is speaking about salvation. The definition of the Greek word ‘abundant’ is; in the sense of beyond, superabundant in quantity or superior in quality; by implication, excessive.
Please remember, that many times in scripture we are warned of the hardships of this life. After all, Jesus said, when the world hates you know that it hated me first. John 15:18.

In my opinion, when he said “I have came that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.” he meant to live in the spirit. Humans are made up of three parts, body, soul, and spirit. Our spirit within us is dead. That is why Jesus said, “you must be born again not of the flesh but of the spirit.” When someone experiences the new birth, they become whole again, having all three parts that make up their existence function the way God had intended, body (your flesh), soul (mind, will, emotions, personality), and spirit (your connection to God). The human spirit is dead in darkness but can be made alive in Christ. Now your spiritual gifts have awakened, now you have a spiritual hunger for God, now you have communion with God, all because your spirit has been brought back to life again through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. That is what I believe He meant by an abundant life.

Think about this. there is a battle in the spiritual. It is between Jesus and the devil. the moment you accept Christ your soul becomes a battle field. The devil now wants you dead and separated from Christ more than any other.
YOu have chosen to enter the battlefield. -
The closer you get to the King the more heavy the battle is going to rage at you and around you.

Jesus came to give us ETERNAL lfe, not a rosy happy life.

Jesus taught this within the conflict of the thief, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:10-11).
Furthermore, Jesus taught that this is the life that He gives: “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand” (John 10:28).
Christ is teaching the result of the gospel as He started in John 10:17-18.
Remember that the Scriptures teach that we are in a war (Ephesians 6:10-20; 1 Peter 2:11; cf. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

Don’t turn to Jesus just to get the perks out of it. It will not do you any good. You must be genuine about your sorrow for your sins against God. Abundant life will be in heaven.

I think the issue is our definition of life compared to Jesus’ definition. We may think of life as having health, wealth, or comfort, prosperity. But I’m learning more and more that (and please correct me if I’m wrong) the real life is everlasting life with our Saviour. The freedom of knowing that there is such a thing as sin, and being freed from being a slave/tool of the devil.
Something like that..
Oh and also: Jesus Himself told us that He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. To have Jesus is to have Life! Isn’t that awesome? No longer being dead in our sins but brought to life by our Lord Jesus Christ, hallelujah!

Your life in Christ is gonna be the most exhausting part of your existence
Esp because its clear Satan fears you – knows you *and* FEARS you
That’s why you’re going through this
But I promise, as someone who went through it for 4 years, I promise it’s gonna get easier

People will come and support you
God will provide what you need to ressurect you, every single time.

Jesus did say that but He also said that we are going to experience a lot of tribulations and persecutions. Abundant life does not mean a worry free and trouble free life, it means having Jesus, amidst the tribulations of this world we can have an abundant life by knowing that Jesus is in control. Do a deep dive into the Greek word “Zoe”. This is the word used and does mean life, but not the life you think it means. It’s vastly more than you might think brother.
