Yes, even after being saved we are still human and still sinners.

I would hope if you are saved you will be born again and turn from your sin. We all stumble and fall but we should try. If you willfully live in that sin I would have to wonder if you’re saved.

You have received some very honest and truthful answers above, I believe that salvation is very unique in that if we have confessed that you have sinned that needs to be laid at the cross, and forgiven & you can do that through Jesus Christ our Savior. Once saved our sin begins to bother us. If you are allowing yourself a vice that doesn’t bring glory to the Lord, you need to see it as a temptation that the Lord will give you the strength to walk away from. I once heard it said this way: don’t ask if there’s any harm in the thing, ask if there’s any glory for the Lord in this thing.
As sinners we will be tempted. the more mature you become in knowing the Lord, the more your sin will be identified, and the faster you will want to lay it down. We all have areas that we need to grow in, we all have sin that is still present, But by the Lords power he doesn’t want you to stay in that place, or pet your sin.

Depends. Is he fighting that vice and praying earnestly about it, repenting each time he falls to it? If so i would say he could certainly be saved. But if he is indulging the vice and making no effort to curb his impulses and seems to think his faith and his sin can peacefully coexist, then no. I would say he is certainly not saved.

Having a “vice” shouldn’t be contingent on if you’re saved or not. If that were the case, I would have long lost my salvation by now. Actually I can even give you the date of when that probably would have happened lol.

I may say both! Why I am saying, because salvation first is for the sinners people with different addictions, and these people are saved based on only the means of faith by his grace alone and in Christ alone! Which means who is addicted will not wait untill not addicted to be saved or because he has tried some disciplines to behave good so that he may be accepted by God. By what makes a difference between someone who is born again addicted and someone who is not and also addicted to something? The answer is in Romans 7 apostle Paul gives a picture of that, the only difference is that the one who is born again will always be grieved by his own sins those grieving will always lead him to look after God like Paul did but for the one who is not born again christian the presence of grieving is absent in his soul because the presence of the Holy Spirit is absent in him. This is what I can you can be saved or not it only depends to how you behave after

This question is difficult. If we are to follow for example the 4th commandment we must follow what laws are in place. Everyday I tend to to drive about 5mph over the posted limit. That means everytime I drive I speed and I break the 4th commandment. If an alcoholic continues to drink even though he doesn’t want to he still sins. All sin is punishable by God. This is very law focused. If we only focus on the law then we ignore the gospel. If we rely too heavily on the Gospel we ignore the law. Both are important as God teaches. I am a sinner and fall short everyday. Both willingly and unwillingly. I have to claim to the Lord that I am a sinner and ask for His forgiveness. I trust that he forgives me as He said. I have to focus on that and trust that one day He will be an unfair judge. He will let a sinner like me into heaven. He punished Christ for all our sins.

Salvation is not a result of a perfect human. We are in a fallen natures but a new Birth in Christ is needed. This happens Inwardly. There are christian counselors that can help a person, but repentance is very important and a heart that is not self righteous but humble and aware of its flaws. This is how King David was. He had many, many flaws, but He had very clear His reality and always appealed humbly and repentant to God’s Mercy. At the End only God truly knows who are born again.

Sin is the problem and that comes from the heart… not the spoon, or the cup, or the pipe, or the needle.

Of course. We all have vices. When the Holy Spirit enters us, it convicts our conscience. Do we listen? Satan also whispers to us that we aren’t breaking any of Gods laws. God still loves us. Even when we ignore Him. Nothing can keep His love from us. Neither hight, nor depth, nor dark of night. His arms are waiting for us to come back to Him. He will leave His sheep to go get the lost one.

Depends. In the Christian, there are two contrary principles. One of grace, the other of indwelling sin. In the true believer, there will be sin, but there will also be a natural aversion and hatred to sin. In the false professor and graceless hypocrite, there will be thorough love of sin and hatred of God/holiness.

If we accept that the wages of sin is death and that Jesus paid that debt for all our sins, then once you are saved it would follow that your future sins don’t stop you being saved provided you still believe.
