I’m curious about your thoughts concerning this statement in Romans 5:10. It reads, “for if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.“
“Saved by his life”, is this talking about the life that Jesus lived here on earth; the life that he now lives in heaven as our intercessor; or both?
Hey Dane! I believe this is talking directly about Jesus death on the cross as our substitute. If we will look at the verse prior to this we read ….
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath: If we are justified by the work of Jesus, we can be assured that we are also saved from wrath through Him. The wrath of God that was revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men (Romans 1:18) was placed on Jesus as a substitute in the place of the believer.

We are clothed in Christ. Galatians 3:27
We are righteous before God not of ourselves, but we are clothed in what He did for us.
He never sinned. He was God’s Torah instructions lived out perfectly in the flesh. John calls Him the living Word.
Because He never sinned, His blood is perfect and cannot die. Death only results because of sin.
He took our sins on His physical body and so His body could die and
He was buried, planted as a ‘dead’ seed but His sinless blood made Him rise up as the Firstfruits of the tree of life, the ‘vine’ to which we are grafted so that we are strengthened to life by His pure Word, the blood-sap of eternal life in us. His Word is eternal and it is that Word that gives us eternal life.
The Appointed Times given to His people in Leviticus are object lessons depicting the life of Christ. We who love Him should celebrate Him. He explained to the disciples on the Emaus road that the Law and prophets were all about Him! (Luke 24).
