IN ADDITION TO LIVING A CHRISTIAN LIFE, IS IT COMPULSORY FOR A CHRISTIAN TO GO TO CHURCH FOR HIM/HER TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN? CAN’T ONE OBSERVE THE SABBATH AT HOME?

As a believer, wanting to be obedient to God’s Word, you should want to gather. However, Salvation is not predicated on church attendance.
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Christ Alone, we go to Church to have fellowship and worship. We should worship every day our Creator. If unable to fellowship, it still is Christ Alone we worship.

A large part of being a Christian is spiritual formation. Three parts of spiritual formation include promoting the fullness of the Spirit, getting to know the written and living logos, and furthering the body of Christ through community. Christians should have a community/family of believers for accountability and development. Now… is it necessary for salvation… no. But should it be a fruit of the Spirit after salvation?… most likely. I can relate though as I too am an introvert and acts of community do not come as naturally.

John 3:16 is very clear that for you to enter the kingdom of heaven you will accept his Son as your Lord and Savior, no more no less, the best formula is “”Jesus Christ + nothing = salvation (resulting to good works which includes going to
church, observing sabbath and other God’s commands to us) -
You can worship, pray and praise God and Jesus without going to church and without fellowshiping with others of the same faith as you. God and Jesus are always there with you. Always.

If it wasn’t necessary, the Early Church wouldn’t have gone to such lenghts to have places to gather. Yet, the catacombs in Rome, the Dura Europolis church and many others show that they saw it necessary

Sure you can. But we are not suppose to forsake the assembly of believers, either. Personally, I love singing old hymns with other believers.

When the sabbath starten, that’s the way it use to be, every household would gather enough mana to last for the sabbath day and they stay at home, exodus 16/ 23-26.

Just William, the word of God tells us the Mosaic law, Mosaic covenant and the Sabbath were given exclusively. Besides that, the Sabbath was given as a day of REST not worship. That’s the reason the commandment says, ““Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.” Exodus 20:6-11 There’s no command given anywhere to worship on ANY specific day. The command to worship is only to worship the Lord your God. The Mosaic covenant was both temporary and conditional. Israel has never kept its obligation to that covenant. Israel profaned the feasts and the Sabbath to the point that Jehovah promised to set aside the feasts and the Sabbath and so He did. The Mosaic covenant was always meant to be temporary and it has been replaced. What believers should be guilty of and for that matter Israel should have been guilty as well, is to worship EVERY day. He loves us everyday and He cares for us every day, even when we so miserably disappoint Him. Should we do any less than to worship Him and thank Him every day, even if just for the amazing grace He has shown us in taking our punishment, penalty of sin and death?

We are told in Hebrews “not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together” and we do that by assembling in a church building with other like minded believers

Well, if you look at the disabled community (which many believers tend to forget about) they CAN worship from home. On the flip side of the same coin, the bible tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves (Hebrews 10:25)…..”. Forsake means to abandon or give up, thus we’re not to abandon the assembly of the body of Christ in the church. So if you’re disabled and unable to get to church, that’s one thing. But if you’re completely able (with no restrictions through physical or mental issues), then you should go to church.

Maybe people forget about the disabled community because they themselves are not disabled. I’m a disabled veteran through PTSD and have an extremely difficult time walking through doors of places that are not “cleared” previously by “qualified” people, but I DO do it when I’m shopping. Call it what you want.
