In this Cherokee County NC home of W.F. Bryant, R.G. Spurling and R. Frank Porter established the Holiness Church at Camp Creek on May 15, 1902. Sixteen joined the church and called R.G. Spurling as their pastor. Through this congregation Spurling continued his vision of Christian Union first proclaimed along Barney Creek in Monroe County TN in 1886.
