Is rampant looting and destruction of private property ok because the initial anger is justified?

Private? Maybe. Public? I dunno, if you’re a black American and the WH is occupied by a racist who would sooner see you dead than help you or your people, I think torching it worse than the British did is fully justified. Whatever forces them to take action.

The United States itself was founded on much of the very same actions you are seeing today. Protests, riots even, and then, violent actions, often in response to government overreach.
The Boston Massacre if you recall only resulted in the deaths of 5 people.

Two wrongs do not make a right.
Anger is one thing. We can be angry, but sin not.This goes beyond anger to vengeance and not only that but injustice as they are attacking innocent people and their hard-earned possessions. They are hypocrites who have placed themselves in the seat of God and have no moral compass other than the one they decided to have on any given day.
Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord.

Long term this is going to hurt the black community more than peacefully protesting. Its their homes and communities that are being burned. And when the cops are scared to go to places the studies show crime and murder goes up in massive numbers.

Depends on how you look at it. For believers, all our sin is justified before God but before the state it is subject to laws that are enforced with discretion. There is grace in both systems. Speeding is against the law but most would say it only really matters when it’s enforced.
For unbelievers, their sin is not justified but they still get the grace of prosecutorial discretion.

Be angry and sin not. Nobody is being forced to loot or destroy private property. Responsibility for those things lies solely with the individuals who are doing those things. Their anger is justified, but sin is not justified by their anger.
