   It is a gift. You find very intelligent people in intellectually challenging careers that has very little discernment spiritually.

   Spiritual discerning is a gift. The thing is that everything depends upon our personal prayers and relationship with God. We are never distant to such aspects that It is for everyone!

   Spiritual discernment is knowing God’s will for a certain situation or for one’s own life. It is a gift given to every person who received Christ in their life and the Holy Spirit, meaning, to every true believer. As a Christian grows in his/her relationship with God, so does his/her spiritual discernment. A mature Christian has deep spiritual discernment and an immature Christian lacks of it. Having said so, one may have the right discernment but may have the wrong response to that discernment. So it is very important that we not only know God’s will but obeys it as well:)

   Spiritual discernment is a gift but God gifts us at birth, so logically minded people generally have a better handle on doctrines, look at paul, very rational, very systematic
