Kevin Wallace started a COG in Ooltewah, TN. with 34 people in 2003. They quickly expanded and grew. In 2013 they purchased a good property in Chattanooga. They had two location for one church, Redemption Point.
In 2016 Kevin withdrew his credentials from the Church of God and kept the property deeded to Redemption Point in Chattanooga and the TNCOG kept the facilities in Ootewah, called Redemption Point COG and the Chattanooga church was called Redemption to the Nations-non-COG.
Mitchell Corder TNCOG state overseer pastored the congregation for the next 4 months and in May East Chattanooga COG pastored by Travis Ballinger amalgamated with Ootewah Redemption Point.
The TNCOG shows some interesting statistics for the amalgamation.

These statistics are an indication of a very thought out transition and a compliment to Corder and Ballinger. The April statistics are interesting. It indicates that 429 people were lost in the transition. May statistics indicate the number of both congregations amalgamated. The August/Sept statistics will prove interesting.
