Like the old spiritual says , “ you can’t get to heaven in a rocking chair, you rock, and rock, and rock and you stay right there. we cannot earn any of our way to heaven, but, at the same time, we cannot get to heaven without making the effort God ask of us. He wants us to try. He will make allowances for our failures, but he will not reward us unless we make an effort. We must have the heart of Overcomers
