Lilith is a demon- seductress, how come people were saying she’s Adam first wife? Is this also related to the book of Revelation 12:1-17 & 17:1-18

hello! my writing were in English not español, señor. As for me, l knew & ‘ll never believe that Lilith is Adam 1st wife. A brother that am still preaching the gospel to asked me this question & my rejoinder was the Bible passages l mentioned above, and told him never to believe that, a lie is always a lie. Just want more clarifications Greg.? Trust u had a blissful sunday?

Lilith is the name of a pagan goddess or, possibly, a screech owl. It is named (as the Hebrew word for “night demon” or “screech owl” only once in the Bible in Isaiah 34:14. Your friend’s reference to the Revelation passages is drawing a comparison between this figure and the woman who birthed the Messiah in Revelation 12 (which would be Israel) and the whore in Revelation 17 (whether that is the apostates in the Church or, again, Israel – I cannot tell). There were ancient writings outside the Bible about Lilith. Lilith came from a misinterpretation of the creation story of Genesis. Instead of looking at Genesis chapter one as a overview of creation and Genesis chapter two as a more detailed version, some “ancient scholars” saw it as two different stories. Then they made up the whole “Lilith” story to fit there misinterpretation.

The devil will conjure lies to confuse people. But God’s Word is the truth. Like adam and eve eat ate the apple, fools will believe the lies of the devil.

We know Eve was Adam’s first wife because after Adam named the animals, Genesis tells us that no suitable helper was found for him, so no other women were present in the Garden. God caused Adam to go to sleep and made Eve from one of his ribs, then God brought Eve to Adam. Adam and Eve were the first two people on earth. The Bible clearly teaches that.
Revelation 12:1-17 Describes Israel as giving birth to Jesus, Satan and his minions being thrown from heaven, and because of his failure to kill Christ, Satan takes his anger out on Christ’s followers. This does fulfill the prophecy God made during Satan’s punishment in the Garden of Eden. God told Satan that and Eve and he would be enemies, that their respective offspring would be enemies. Gen 3:15.
Revelation 17:1-18 There is much discussion about who the whore of Babylon is. We know it’s a city, but which one? This passage briefly talks of the short reign of the antichrist, the 7th king who is yet to reign.
When going back to the original languages, I can’t find that the name Lilith is ever mentioned in the Bible. I don’t know what version of the Bible, or what extra-Biblical text you are reading, but it might serve you better if you found a version more in line with scripture. Just a thought.
