Nervous people can’t handle clutter! People de-clutter their homes but it doesn’t solve nervousness. Some people will have you believe it will.
If you are like me you grew from a young child through the same church until Uncle Sam drafted me into the Army. Eighteen years in the same church. Church life was all my family knew. We were there when the church was unlocked by anyone with a key and then my dad had a key which meant we cleaned the church!!
I knew the building like the back of my hand. There was a lot of clutter and that was an invitation to a child to play. I’ve got a big list of clutter in my mind to share and I want you to join in as well.
What memories of church clutter do you have?
Today our churches have been de-cluttered and I believe we loose people because of it. Oh, we might see an increase in numbers however we don’t really have church families. Clutter don’t make me nervous in fact it makes me feel “belongedness” This church is my church and I love and embrace my church. This clutter is my treasure.
Can we generate belongedness in our manicured architecture today?
