Okay, so like I have a question. This pic at the top of the page, is this an “official COG department”?

official! I didn’t think anyone would ask!

Well is it, or isn’t it?

  3. Charles Page says:

segregation is alive and well in the Church of God. It is official.

  4. Lahry Sibley says:

Okay. I’m cool with that. But let me ask you this. Do they have a “white ministries department”? What about Hispanics, or Israelis? Arab’s maybe?

  5. Charles Page says:

if there is a black ministries department then naturally there is a white ministries department.

There really needs to be an Israel ministries department as well as an Arab ministries department. Hispanic department is almost there.

  6. Lahry Sibley says:

Does the “white ministries department” have a specific designation as such, with a similar pictorial logo as above?

  7. Charles Page says:

    This was the old logo

  8. Lahry Sibley says:

Thank you. But that makes no reference to “race”.

  9. Lahry Sibley says:

So do they have a “white ministries department” specifically called such, with a similar picture/logo as at the tope of this forum?

This is heart breaking. I love so many people, black, white, whatever, in the COG. To see such as this being promoted as “church sanction”, is very sad to witness. We need to pray.

  11. Charles Page says:

The Assembly Of God also have a black ministries department.

  12. Charles Page says:

The black ministries share the same logo as the white church. Naturally I am speaking tongue -n-cheek!

  13. Lahry Sibley says:

The GOSPEL is for all races, without distinction. This is horrible.

  14. Charles Page says:

Church of God In Christ is an all black denomination.

  15. Lahry Sibley says:

I’m aware of that. I’ve preached in COGIC churches. Loved it. And they loved me too. But they don’t promote themselves as all black. I was even asked to apply for “credentials” with the denomination. (My true credentials is in the people I minister too). I declined, for the same reason I declined the COG license. It’s not biblical, and the leadership above the local church level is just as lacking as to the COG.
