On November 22, 1974, the Church of God broadcast our first prime-time TV special, “A New World Coming.” The program aired on 187 ABC stations at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday—the time slot that normally aired “Happy Days”—and was seen by millions of households. The program featured Steve Brock, Julia Haar, Tom Russell, Myrna Alford, Phil Thomas, Lee Singers, Ministers Trio, Singers III, and an evangelistic message by Forward In Faith Evangelist Carl Richardson. In response to the program, Forward In Faith received more than 20,000 letters and sent a complimentary LP Album to those requesting one.
