On This Thanksgiving Day, Take A Moment To Thank The Lord Jesus Christ And Tell Him How Grateful You Are For His Great Love Wherewith He Loves Us

Today is our day of Thanksgiving, and there is no better place to direct our thanks than to the Lord Jesus Christ who has redeemed us like a Shepherd with His sheep

Today is the 62nd Thanksgiving Day I will have been alive for, and it is the 32nd Thanksgiving Day that I have been saved for, and in all that time I have seen a little bit of this world and its doings. I have seen empires rise and fall, kings and presidents come and go, I have watched loved ones, saved and lost, step out into eternity. And in all that time one thing is as plain as the nose on my face, the Lord has sustained me through all of it. That is truly something to be thankful for.

“Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” 2 Corinthians 9:11,15 (KJB)

I don’t know how much more time the Lord will allow me, but I know this, that in whatever time remains I want to get something done for Him out of sheer gratitude. Somehow through all the ups and downs in my Christian life, through every moment good and bad, I have retained a little bit of that ‘pink cloud’ from my baby Christian days. Do you remember when you first got saved, the sheer thrill that coursed through you knowing your sins had been paid for, and your well-deserved appointment with Death and Hell had been forever cancelled? That’s something to be thankful for.

I think about what it will be like to finally, one great day, actually be with Jesus either by death or rapture. Nothing can compare to that, nothing this world offers, not even the prospect of crowns at the Judgment Seat. Nothing will be as good as just being with the Lord. I am sure that Heaven will be filled with wonders far beyond our ability to comprehend them, but even that pales in comparison to being face to face with the One who redeemed us. Give me Jesus, and I’ll be satisfied. David says “As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.” If you’re saved today, you will experience that, and the Devil can’t ever take it away from you.

That’s something to be very thankful for. Eternal security.

Today we celebrate Thanksgiving in our house as a family, there will be turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie on the table because the Lord put it there. Whatever is on your table, even if that table is in a soup kitchen, homeless shelter or prison house, the Lord has provided that as well.

Finally, I am so very thankful and grateful for my NTEB family who prays with me, and for me, as we serve the Lord together while waiting for our Flight #777 to depart. We are the ‘church of the broken pieces’, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Over the years I’ve gotten to meet a few hundred of you, and that’s been such a blessing. I look forward to the complete NTEB ‘family reunion’ in Heaven with the hundreds of thousands and indeed millions of NTEB’ers that will be present in that great day. Thank you all.❤

Only one life, yes only one, Now let me say, ”Thy will be done”;

And when at last I’ll hear the call, I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”;

Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last. ”
