  1. Robert Redgate says:

Jesus says the Holy Spirit will come upon us when we are saved. Also, It is not I but Christ, who dwells within. So he is inside of me, so yes !

  2. Mark Fonner says:

I know that I have, yes!

  3. Dane Davenport says:

Like being in God’s presence? Yes. It was both beautiful and dreadful at the same time. I was just minding my own business and there he was. I couldn’t get down low enough.

    Yes

You are sealed with the Holy Spirit inside of you.

    Yes

Yup and I’d expect continual encounters through abiding and sanctification…

If you have been born again of the spirit, you have encountered God.

  9. Mike Bellsmith says:

Oh yes. God has touched me and made Himself known to me personally.

Sometimes the question comes from folks who are where I was for five years. I believed in God and in His Son Jesus. I went to church. I prayed. I celebrated Christian holidays, but I did not know there was another step.

There are three steps to a relationship with God.

    1. Taking in the information about Him
    2. Accepting that information as true
    3. Acting on it and asking Jesus to be Lord of your life.

So many people in our churches have stopped at #2 and don’t know #3 is even available.

That’s exactly what happens when you surrender to HIM.

    I’d say God found me.

    its a trap –> define “encounter” ???

  13. Daniel Armijo says:

We have an “encounter” with the God every time we read or hear from inspired scripture. Beyond that? Little verifiable evidence.

    Absolutely

  15. Angel Hutchings says:

Yes, I experienced God in person and have never been the same since. 23yrs now and no it definitely wasn’t a breakdown. Gods presence filled my room and my heart and opened my eyes, my ears, my heart.

    Yes I have..

  17. J Allen Noll says:

The reason for the question is… a group question the office of Apostle, My view is the office is still valid and is a function of the 5 fold ministry. My point was that Paul was called to the office as an Apostle and did not fellowship in the flesh with Jesus… but as we all have had a road to Damascus experience, the office still was functional…. thoughts???
