I attended a couple of churches with choirs back in the day. But they for the most part was too formal and starchy/ I enjoyed seeing people come out of the congregation to the platform and form a choir. Informal and the Holy Ghost would fall. Wasn’t worrying about whether we missed a chord or note. We were making a joyful noise unto the Lord. Have you taken notice that the Psalmist in Psalm 100 said MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD ahead of singing. I loved those little old churches that made a joyful noise. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A CONGREGATION MADE A JOYFUL NOISE WITHOUT BEING PRIMED.
