Church of God Releases Statement Regarding Equality Act
Cleveland, TN–The US House of Representatives recently passed H.R. 5 – the “Equality Act.” This action was anticipated and expected. Under the Act, sexual orientation/gender identity will be recognized as a civil right, as are race, national origin, and other factors.
In what seems to be a targeted attack on religious freedom, Instagram permanently bans one of the largest Catholic accounts, Catholic Connect, reaching over five million people every week through social media. Within a matter of hours, Catholic Connect got slapped with two copyright infringements and their account was taken down.

Members of the Church of God Doctrine and Polity (D&P) Committee have released the latest from their research on contemporary cultural topics. The paper, entitled, “Same-Sex Relations in the New Testament: A Response to Challenges of the Traditional Reading of Romans I and I Corinthians 6,” was written by Dr. Terry Cross, Dean at Lee University’s School of Religion and a member of the D&P Committee.
