During the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem that Ark of the Covenant disappeared. Much of Jewish tradition holds that it disappeared before or while the Babylonians sacked the temple in Jerusalem in 586 B.C.

Today we look at the Laver inside the courtyard of the Tabernacle.
We find only one other piece of furniture in the Court Yard, and that is the Laver just in front of the door to the entrance to the Holy Place.
