    It is the Word

  2. Prabudas Asodi says:

Bible is the Word of God

  3. Rafael Macapagal says:

The Bible contains the word of God. And there isnt much of a difference perse but more of a distinction. For when you say that the Bible is THE Word of God, you maintain upon it a standard that is impossible to defend when put under scrutiny as opposed to saying it contains the Word of God.

  4. Kenneth Maimba says:

The Bible is the word of God means that every single word in the 66 books that make up the bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit. This typically refers to the Original manuscripts as they were written down by the respective authors and in the original languages they were written in.

The Bible contains the word of God suggests that only some portions of the Bible are divinely inspired.

As evangelical Christians, we hold to the latter view.

  5. Keith Morris says:

Yes, if it only contains it then we can dismiss what we wish.

  6. Kihoshe Assumi says:

Bible is the Word of God.

  8. Vivek Meshramkar says:

If Bible contains the Word of God, who will decide which part is God’s Word, and which is from the satan or only human wisdom?
Then everyone will utilise it as per his convenience, in that case it doesn’t remain the Word of God in it’s entirety.
The problem is not in the Bible it’s in the human beings who wish to crush their conscience because the Bible speaks so clearly to the hearts of mankind.

  9. Bobby Gonzalez says:

    They are synonymous

    IS the Word of God…

  16. Floyd Vaz says:

2 Timothy 4:13 – when Paul writes: When you come bring the cloak which I left at Troas with Carpus, and the books, especially the parchments. The Bible in its completeness and originality is the inspired God-breathed word of God in written form. Jesus is the original ‘Word of God in divine and human form. And since God chose to speak through men, we see also the human element as in this verse.

  17. Judy Villania says:

  18. Ωδιυγα Αλβιν says:

    Of course!

  19. Judy Villania says:

use your systematic theology coz it filters negative theological implications or errors.

  20. Jennifer A Epps says:

John 1 is pretty clear. Jesus is the Word. The Scriptures is the Word of God.
2 Peter 1:20 – knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation.
2 Timothy 3:16 – All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…

  21. Ronald Drynüm says:

The bible is the infallible and inspired word of God. And the GOSPEL WHICH IS JESUS is the WORD; THE WORD of God, from the beginning, the word who became flesh. JESUS IS THE LORD AND SAVIOR, THE GOOD NEWS OF GOD FROM GENESIS TO REVELATIONS.

  22. Jake Jordan says:

Correct is: The Bible contains the word of God” (note the Cap B) By definition, a bible is just a collection of books. You could have a bible of food recipes.

  23. Philip Davis says:

The bible is the WORD of God but the value of those words is forfeited when read from a mere wordly perspective!

  24. Helen Mary says:

The Word became flesh and dwelled among us. The collection of books and it’s authors is the Word of God.

    Contains the words of God.

  26. William Barsky says:

    It’s the words of God.

  34. Alan Corado says:

    John 1:1
    John 1:14

  35. Cindi Love says:

Same thing..it is the Word of God which mean it contains the Word of God!??

  36. DougSusan Stevens says:

It IS the word. Otherwise you could randomly use what you want and disregard the rest

The Bible is the Word of God and the central message of the Bible is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I believe is the same ?

  39. Bruce Hooper says:

Jesus is the Word of God. Scripture reveals the word of God

  40. Musau Musyoka Elijah says:

The Bible IS the word of God. This means the 66 books in totality are to be believed and practiced since it is in totality inspired- 2Timothy 3:16-17.

The view that the Bible CONTAINS the word of God is not only misguided but also robs it’s authenticity; authority, perspicuity, inerrancy and reliability.

This misguided view claims that the Bible is like a container and therefore the reader has the freedom to choose to read and accept portions of scripture that appeal to his, her worldview.

It is instructive, therefore, to desist from any claim that robs the authenticity of God’s word in totality

  41. Fortunato Denis says:

Yes the right one is the word of God if we say contain the word of God it might be u derstood that it contain other things not from the mouth of God it we say what was written in the bible is the word of God there is the solidity that only the word of God is what was written in the bible even though the whole bible has 66 books all what was written in each book are pure word of God

  42. Marcel Van de L'Isle says:

If it is the Word of God it must contain the Word of God. Otherwise it is not the Bible.

  43. George Koshy says:

The Holy Bible of 66 books written in the original languages ( O.T in Hebrew & portions in Aramaic and N.T in Greek) is fully word of God.

  44. Derrick Asiedu says:

    Yes

  45. Thato Masiu says:

If the bible is the written book. And the words written in the book are the word of God. The bible is the word of God.

And If the bible can contain the word of God. And the word of God can be contained. And the container of the word of God is the bible. The bible contains the word of God.

The first statement is the act of identifying and the second is the act of containing.

  46. Mark Hatcher says:

Is every the and thou in the the manuscript?

  47. Anthony Jimison says:

The bible is the living breathing word of God. Everything from Genesis to Revelation. If we say it contains the words of God that means we do not hold the whole bible as the inerrant word of God.

  48. Girlie Grimaldo Laña says:

Is there another word of God aside from. The bible.. Who wrote the bible who are the people involved in selectimg the book to include in the bible
Are they from. Heaven? Or angels or the bible came from. Heaven who wrote the bible who cannonize the sacred text is there any politics behind it..in choosing which book shall include or there is a redactor?

  49. Girlie Grimaldo Laña says:

Read tbe book kf elliot friedman “who wrote the bible”

  50. Jack Parks says:

If it is the word of God then it is authoritative. If it is just the word of men of their time giving their thoughts on God then what makes it any more authoritative than any man giving their thoughts on God?

  51. Girlie Grimaldo Laña says:

Is there any word of God aside from the bible? Who wrote the bible who are the people behind in choosing the books to include in cannon? Is there any politics behind this? Whar are the criteria in choosing book to include in the bible? Is it the bible came from. Heaven?

  52. Girlie Grimaldo Laña says:

Read the commentary of elliot frieddman in the book “who wrote the bible”

  53. Luis WuttheHell Claudio says:

I would say it contains the Word of God. To say it is the Word of God would imply that the book itself is His Word therefore it is Holy in itself. But in it it states that you should worship the Lord your God alone and only Him shall you worship. So yea, I think it contains the Word of God but in itself it is not the Word of God, if that makes any sense cuz I think I just confused myself lol

  54. Harry Jones says:

The Bible is the Word of God?.

  55. Tim Lewis says:

    “IS”

Contains the word of God makes it sound like it also contains other stuff too. So it’s the word of God

  57. Arnelle's Page says:

    Yes

  58. Johny Goodwin says:

    Is

  59. Danny Kircharr says:

    Here’s the answer from 2Tim 3:16-17

    King James Version (KJV)
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

  60. Art Ellingsen says:

The Bible is the Word of God.

Those who teach the Bible contains the Word of God, are then able to reject anything they don’t agree with.

This is where sinners get to decide what parts of the Bible are really God speaking and which are not.

Here is the slippery slope most mainline denominations have already gone down, including the Lutheran Church I was raised in as a kid.

    1. They reject Genesis Chapters 1 – 11 because it disagrees with their own limited view of science.

    2. They start Ordaining Women.

    3. They say it is OK to be gay.

  61. Jeff Finster says:

Yes… the scriptures testify of One. Yeshua Messiah, Son of God. He is Living and seated at our God’s right hand. Therefore, we through Him have access to His Father and ours. Glory…

  62. Earl Downing says:

Is scripture the word of God or does it contain the word of God? “All scripture is God breathed and useful for reproof and instruction in righteousness.”

  63. Arslan Ul-Haq says:

? The Bible is the Word of God! ???

  64. Bob Jones says:

Of course there is a difference, if the Bible just contained the Word of God, that would mean that some of it was not the Word of God, so then how would we know what words were and were not God’s Words. So with that in mind it is the word of God every single word, right down to the very smallest of words.

  65. Ed Roper says:

    And The Word became Flesh!

  66. Ed Roper says:

    John 1:14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
    The Word Made Flesh
14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception).

  67. Tammie Edwards says:

The Bible is a book containing recorded words from God. It also has recorded words from patriarchs, prophets, kings, even the serpent, the Devil, evil spirits, demons and others. The letters written by Paul are just that … letters written by Paul to churches not unlike I would write a letter to a church today under the influence of the Holy Spirit. God is a living being. He is not a book. However, He can speak to us when we read the Bible or give us spiritual vision as we find a Scripture that is important in the right timing. But God does not need a book to communicate with us. Just like we don’t need to have a Bible open when we’re praying to Him.

The word made flesh has absolutely nothing to do with the Bible. God who is the Creation Speaker (Word) made His Spirit being visible by manifesting in a Son of Man flesh suit.

  68. Richard Spence says:

    No difference. Word play! L&P

  69. Dudley Barnes says:

The Bible is the work of men, giving their opinions of God.

  70. Julie Jones says:

The Bible is THE WORD OF GOD written by God inspired men

  71. Tony Chan says:

How about a compromise? The Bible is a record of the word of God.

  72. Jabememej Makby says:

    Bible,words of God,scripture the same

  73. Rob Williams says:

There is a difference. The Bible instructs us in righteousness, but Jesus is the Word of God… the Bible is the account of salvific history

  74. Dean Alley says:

Logos “the Word” Jesus became flesh “incarnate” Deity or Holy Spirit embodied human flesh came to redeem mankind.

The Bible is the infallible inerrant truth of God displaying to us how to live.

God inspired 44 Godly men, over a 1500 year span, written in three languages, on three different continents.

  75. Wendy Beard says:

Yes! The people who believe the Bible is the Word of God accept it as such even the parts they don’t like or understand. The people who say it CONTAINS the word of God can discard whatever parts they don’t like and pick and choose which Scripture is REALLY what God said and which isn’t. They are perpetuating the same lie as Satan’s first lie to Eve: “Did God really say?”

  76. Matt Willis says:

    Neither and both!

  77. Jeff Lewis says:

Scripture is the word of God. The Bible is merely mans interpretation of the scripture.

  78. Ian Hartley says:

Is, Is, Is the Word of God.

  79. Christopher Brynestad says:

Who is to determine which parts are the Word of God and which parts are not? Saying that the Bible contains the Word of God leads people away from truth. The Bible is God’s Word.

  80. William Clark says:

Yes, I think there’s a difference since anything that “contains” something can also contain something else.
