Continuing in this extended series on the four domains of Christian knowledge (Theology, Church History, Spiritual Formation and Apologetics), I turn now toward the discipline of Historical Apologetics. Unlike Philosophical Apologetics, which primarily uses the natural world, or creation, as its primary source of theorizing, Historical Apologetics deals with a specific set of data: historical testimony. As Christianity claims to be a revealed religion, there is hardly a defense of genuine Christianity without a defense of its historicity.
