To me, one of the finest General Overseers of the Church of God (I am sure there were many others but due to the one that I knew the best) was Rev. E. C. Thomas. He visited our church when it was under construction because he said he had heard so much about it. Then he returned and dedicated our new sanctuary. Our mayor was there as well and our church received a Declaration from the Ohio House of Representatives. “Buck” Rinehart, Mayor of the City of Columbus, which is the Capital of the State of Ohio made us CHURCH OF THE DAY, which was a great honor.
