In Australia we can’t have more than five people gathering at one time. We aren’t allowed to leave home unless it’s for work shopping or an emergency

Hallelujah. But also read revelation 3 and the seven churches in revelation. Jesus is looking for churches but no one lets him in. How you going to let Jesus in if the church doors shut down. Lot of exposing of lukewarm churches.

I attend a 1,500 member church. We’re still having church. We’re just doing it differently. It’s being done through Facebook, FaceTime, Instagram, etc.

Because the entire country is in lockdown and state of emergency and all public gatherings are cancelled

That’s how we’re staying connected but let’s not forget, we’re the church.
Maybe it’s God’s way of getting us out of our buildings.

Because Paul said in Roman 13:1-7 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Because we obey the Bible, which says we should obey the goverment who are given for our protection. If your Church is still open Why is it?, are you disobeying God?

The Church is not a building, but the body of believers. Many of the persecuted church cannot meet in big buildings in closed countries, but this does not make them any less of a church.

The church is not a build! The people are the church.

God gives us faith. He also gives us intellect. Would you stand on a train track with a train coming? Probably not. Why not, if you have enough faith the train won’t harm you, right? Do you believe this? No, because you are smart enough to know that the train will squash you. Have you ever been sick? Have you ever broken a bone? Have you ever needed stitches? Then you KNOW that being a believer does NOT protect you from the very real dangers of this fallen world.
This virus may be invisible but it is real and it is deadly. The bodies of the dead and dying are visible enough! Let’s imagine that you are protected because you have such great faith! What happens when the virus attaches itself to you and you pass it to an elderly person in the grocery store, who doesn’t have faith and they die, how does that square with loving your neighbor? This is NOT about faith. This is about intelligence.
