Virgil Perkins, Father of LaQuita Propes, Passes
Virgil Lamar Perkins (August 31, 1933 – May 7, 2021) completed his earthly journey on Friday, May 7th, 2021.
Church of God World Missions and General Director David Griffis give their heartfelt condolences to LaQuita Propes, his daughter, and son-in-law, M. Thomas Propes, World Missions Assistant Director, and their family.
Rev. Perkins was born on August 31, 1933, in Cairo, GA, to the late Samuel P. Perkins and Ethel Sellers Perkins. He was a minister with the Church of God denomination, and he evangelized all over southeast Georgia before pastoring two churches, Port City Church of God in Bainbridge, GA, and Boykin Church of God in Boykin, GA, where he later retired from pastoral ministry.
The family will receive friends at the Rose City Church of God, Thomasville, Georgia, on Sunday, May 9, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
