i’ve watched a youtube video about a guy presenting or preaching christ to jewish people using isaiah chapter 53
I found the Hebrew Israelites to be irrational. They go on tangents and even if you find a point they agree with it will get twisted. It’s like they’re expecting you to be racist toward them and a liar and therefore It’s almost impossible to get a reasonable and fair dialogue on beliefs with them.
You start with prayer. If they’re in your face, then listen first and rebuke where you felt led and if they bring up a topic that you don’t know, then it is ok to say you don’t know, research the topic, and get back with them later. Saying I don’t know is not a symbol of weakness. At this point, you are a witness to an unbeliever. Start with the gospel and bring up Romans 9 in the context of the Jews. Don’t engage. They are in packs to intimidate and they have no concern to hear you out. They only want to argue and actually deal with about 1/2 of the Bible. They have plans and strategies to make people feel wrong.
The only way is one on one conversation, not on the streets.
I usually start by attacking their view of Jesus. First by showing that scripture never depicts him as a black man and that he is God. I just recently did a whole lesson on the dietary laws and how they are done away with in Christ. I taught it to one of my stepdaughter friends who is a Hebrew Israelite. Be able to point out their eisegesis of scripture vs exegesis. Study their history and how they started and attack the falsehoods of their belief system. It’s also good to have a good handle on the Old Testament, the mosaic law, ceremonial law, and the sacrificial system. Like most cults they have their go to texts but are really unfamiliar with the whole of scripture and it’s proper understanding in context.

Just have faith… our responsibility is our individual relationship with God.. he takes care of the rest. I’m learning that focusing on other more then your relationship with him is showing him you don’t have faith in him. First of all why are defending your Christian faith? You need to take the offense and demonstrate to this person, Jesus. Always and I mean always use the word of God. Because your words and thoughts mean nothing, but Gods word does not come back void and it is sharper then an 2 edge sword cutting between joint and marrow ,between spirit and soul. Eventually, your opponent/freind will have to make a decision about his/her own salvation.
That’s the Major Problem since as what God says in terms of the Gospel we are Enemies –

but “WE” need to understand that God himself blinded them

So that might be hard for them to understand unless God opens their eyes and ears, but the blindness will be taken of UNTIL the FUlness of Gentiles came in

Book of Hebrew it is all about Christ supremacy against Judaism
Using the Old Testament scripture and the prophets to show Christ. Jesus did it “As it is written…” Paul did it when preaching to the Jews. There is no point showing them NT only. The Jews were utterly convinced that being born Hebrew and having the scriptures they were saved. But what they fail to understand is that “all Israel is not Israel” that only a remnant will be saved and that God was forming a people from not just Israel but also from the Gentiles, His holy nation, his peculiar people. The Jews of the day prided being people descended from Abraham Isaac and Jacob and Paul showed them how God did all the work to bring them into being and setting the course. So being born in the flesh only as a descendant is not a guarantee of righteousness. In fact the whole of the OT is littered with the accounts of their unfaithfulness to God, even killing all the prophets and eventually their own Messiah, all the time claiming they were acting right and defending God. What a tragedy.
Truth in love
Try and push back on their core doctrines and assertions on Christianity:
1) Christianity is NOT the White Man’s Religion
2) Show that the salvation and love Christ can offer is Universal and not locked into racial prejudice or favor unlike their Belief System
3) Point to the Old Testament Prophecies, try Isaiah 53 for example to try and parallel the life of Jesus with.
4) Refute their claims of their “True Israeli Heritage” (difficult, because challenging someone’s identity even with facts and evidence.)
5) Have them try and defend their doctrine by going on the offensive on their beliefs after you lay the previous points down
how did Paul deal with Jews in the synagogues?
You are to find unfulfilled prophecies in the old testament and present them to them to tell you how to handle it. They are weak when tanahk is exposed as faulty without the coming of the Messiah. But be mindful they will tell you Jesus didn’t fulfill the Messianic prophecy. This goes to understand that a living being can’t be in the present of the ancient of days I’m coming cloud reference to Daniel. And make sure you are not out to win but to show Jesus.

The OT is essentially filled with prophetic visions of the coming of Christ, including his lineage, where he was to be born, who his mother would be, how he would die, and more. It’s practically undeniable, except for what one is willing to accept due to the disposition of one’s heart. Even the Pharisees knew full well as devout men of the Tanakh, Christ fulfilled scripture, but put him to death anyway.
They will find out soon enough

By engaging a Hebrew Israelite, I assume you mean someone who practices Judaism? I’m sure there are some good comments here. But I will add that we must first listen to his or her questions or comments about the Christian faith. Paul adjusted his comments to his hearers. While in the Synagogue he would bring up the Old Testament references to the Messiah showing that Jesus was, indeed, this Messiah. When he was on trial, he made a plea from the standpoint of his experience, along with the evidence from Scripture. Remember too that each of us is a product of our upbringing, environment, traditions, education, peers, etc. Tradition is a huge component in Judaism. They know their heritage and perceive it to be of absolute importance. Paul, in every case always shared the gospel. For it is only the gospel which has the power, with the influence of the Holy Spirit, to open eyes and allow the hearers to recognize their need for a Savior. This is essential in reaching everyone.

You have to show how Jesus perfectly fulfills the prophecy of the coming Messiah promised in the Old Testament.

I’m not sure if this is the best approach or not. But God promised King David there would always be a descendant of King David on the throne. So either Jesus is the eternal King, or God lied. Those ore the only two possibilities.

Explain to the children of Jacob the necessity of Yeshua for the atonement of sin and the impotence of the Torah/obedience to the Law as an instrument of righteousness (Romans 3:20; Galatians 2:16). The Jew-Israelite is blinded by the veil (2 Corinthians 3:15) as a curse for their forefathers rejection of Yeshua…you would be wise to explain the necessity of Yeshua and let them be…they will argue the Torah, the Tanakh, till the cows come home and insult our Lord and His sacrifice. Pray for the children of Israel and remember the words of Messiah.
