What is the difference of 2nd Coming of Christ from the rapture? or it is the same!

The same.
Second coming is when Jesus arrives to conquer the armies and the anti-Christ and the false prophet, then set up His 1000 year (millennium) Kingdom.
I believe the rapture occurs at the beginning of the 7 year Great Tribulation. The 2nd coming is at the end of the 7 year tribulation, when Jesus sets up his kingdom starting the millennial reign.
The rapture happens at the second coming
There is no rapture! I go with Apostle Paul’s BETTER RESURRECTION.
(Heb11:35-40)
One is His return to earth with His saints. The other is His appearing in the air for His saints ;I e the Rapture)
He’ll rule for a thousand years, and then the devil will be set loose again, is that correct?
No, they are 2 different events. The rapture ends the church era. Only the believers in Christ Jesus, dead or alive will be snatched away while the second coming is the glorious return of Christ with the saints at the sound of the trumpet. He will be coming to set his on the earth and to rule it for a millenium..praise the Lord!
The same
Not the same. The 2nd Coming will come first and then the end will come. The bible says when Jesus comes a 2nd time on the clouds our redemption is drawing near(Lk 21:27-28). Redemption will be given at the last Judgment or rapture, so to speak. However, it says that when Jesus comes a 2nd time on the clouds, the last Judgment/rapture(redemption) is “drawing near”. So, basically 2nd coming is different from the rapture.
Btw, i’m confused about rapture. But, i’m confident that it is the last Judgment since it talks about the end of the age.
The Church age will end with Rapture: any moment from now. The Rapture marks the beginning of Daniel’s one week of the 70th week (the 69th week ended in 30AD): The first part of the one week (3 1/2 years) for peace for the Jews and next part of the one week (3 1/2 years) will mark a very great great persecution for the Jews. In Daniel’s words: “ abomination that causes desolations”. Our Lord Jesus Christ will literally descend with His Saints (Second Coming) to battle with Anti Christ in the Battle of Armageddon and certainly will defeat the Anti Christ and immediately establish His Kingdom for a Millennial Reign.
The rapture is when he takes Christian’s up to heaven. The second coming is when he comes back with his Christians to earth
In the reading of what Jesus outlines in responding to His disciples questions …. about His Return, when and where does “the gathering” occur? (The word “rapture” (rapturo) only shows up in the Catholic translation. “Immediately after …. the tribulation (Jacob’s Trouble) …. of those days …. shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then …. shall appear the sign of the Son of man …. in Heaven: and then …. shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they …. shall see the Son of man …. coming (Returning) …. in the clouds of Heaven with power and great Glory. 31 And He shall send …. His angels …. with a great sound of a Trumpet (final-last-7th, see Rev.), and they …. shall gather …. together …. His elect …. from the four winds, …. from one end of Heaven …. to the other.” – https://www.biblehub.com/matthew/24-1.htm – there will be a “harvest”, but too many have not bothered to study Jesus’ Words carefully …. and in 1 Thess. 4 & 5 …. shows that the dead are resurrected FIRST, …. before those who “are alive and remain” (remnant) …. 13 “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dies in the faith), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and …. rose again, even so them also which sleep …. in Jesus …. will God …. bring with …. Him. 15 For …. this we say unto you …. by the Word of the Lord, …. that we which …. are alive and remain …. unto the coming (Return) …. of the Lord …. shall not prevent (not precede) …. them …. which are asleep (have died in the faith). 16 For …. the Lord Himself …. shall descend (come down) …. from Heaven …. with …. a shout, with …. the voice of the Archangel, and with …. the trump (last/final/7th) …. of God: and …. the dead …. in Christ shall …. rise …. first: 17 Then …. …. we which are alive and remain (the remnant) …. shall be caught up …. together …. with them …. in …. the clouds, …. to meet …. the Lord …. in …. the air: and …. so shall we …. ever …. be with …. the Lord. 18 Wherefore …. comfort one another with these words.” – https://biblehub.com/kjv/1_thessalonians/4.htm Then, read 1 Thess. 5, and compare, carefully and prayerfully to 1 Cor. 15, as well as study carefully and referring back to Jesus’ Words in Mt. 24, Lk. 21, and other places in the Gospels, Daniel, 2 Thess. 1 & 2, and Rev. (see meme’ study guide) …. asking the Lord to clarify these things, because …. we live in dangerous days. –
The rapture and the second are two different events that take place at different times. The rapture is when Jesus comes back to get the ones who have professed faith in Jesus and are born again, plus those who are already dead, their bodies will be taken as well.
And the dead in Christ shall rise first and those who are left will be caught up with the Lord in the air.
The rapture will happen before tribulation starts because
We are not appointed unto Gods wrath.
So Jesus comes and gets us and takes us to heaven. And leaves everyone else who have not professed faith to suffer Gods wrath for seven years, referring to Daniels 70th week and the understanding of how Jewish Sabbatical cycles work in Leviticus and Deuteronomy.
The Second Coming of Christ is Jesus’ physical coming to this earth which will happen at the end of the seven year tribulation. He will come riding on a white horse with us the believers to rule and reign on the earth for a thousand years. He will physically put his foot on the mount of olives and it will split in two.
So two different events. Jesus Second Coming is him physically coming back into earth where as the rapture is Jesus coming back to get the church away from what his father is going to do on earth.
Same thing. It’s stated quite clearly in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4. To say they are separate is to distort scripture.
I’m a pan millinnealist. The Jews misunderstood the prophecies about the messiah in the OT. There’s no reason why Christians wouldn’t also, so I believe, it’ll happen as God intended and wil all pan out?
There will be no rapture. Rapture is a lie. It will hurt people in the end that believe in this. They will lose faith because it won’t happen!
aint goin be no rapture
those who are alive and remain unto the coming (παρουσία) of the Lord, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17). After the tribulation. There is way more evidence against the rapture than for. Check it out. God bless
I’m not experienced/educated enough to participate. Following.
As the same time.
The rapture will take place, if you define the rapture as the time when the believers are taken up with Jesus the question is when. I believe scripture teaches that will be at the second coming of Jesus, at the end of days.
Rapture isnt biblical. Its. Not going to happen
The rapture will not happen until the man of sin in is revealed and it will happen at the last Trump. Not before
2 Thessalonians 2:3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
The rapture Will not happen before the man of sin is revealed
it is two different event….
Same time.
Not sure what the rapture is but jesus is coming back in power and great glory.
Watching with interest. Lots of overlapping definitions of terms in eschatology. Hope to hear from the knowledgeable on this one.
The most important thing to bear in mind is that Jesus returns, and the angels gather the elect AFTER the Tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31)! There is no foundation in the belief in a Pre-Trib Rapture! Don’t believe me, believe God’s Word!
Pay no attention to those who would come at try to shake scripture and believers. The Bible is most definitely sure about an event we label the Rapture, and it happens just prior to the 7 years of Tribulation. After those 7 years, comes the Day of the Lord, a time of judgement, followed by the physical return of Jesus and His bride, the church, to Earth to reign in peace for 1000 years.
I am work now and not able to take the time to provide all the scripture references now, but when I get home, I’ll laydown the chronological order presented in scripture and hopefully you will see it clearly in The Word yourself without all the bullies and bagpipes drowning out the truth of scripture.
1 Thessalonians 4
16. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
It’s the same event according to the Scripture
The so-called “Rapture” is two-phased: first phase is Christ coming FOR His saints. Phase two is Christ coming WITH His saints!
If we are alive on planet earth on the last day we will caught up to be with The Lord as He appears in His glory and His angels gather up the unsaved tares and cast them into everlasting fire we shall be changed in the twinkling of an eye and be like Him.
RAPTURE vs. SECOND COMING:
RAPTURE:
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
The Comfort of Christ’s Coming
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep [died], lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be >>>“caught up”<<< together with them >>>in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.<<< And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 (See also 55-58) Our Final Victory 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, >>>I tell you a mystery:<<< >>>We shall not all sleep [die],<<< but >>>we shall all be changed—<<< 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. ---This is “NOT” referring to the Seventh Trumpet Judgment!!!--- For the trumpet will sound, and >>>the dead will be raised incorruptible,<<< and >>>we shall be changed.<<< 53 For >>>this corruptible must put on incorruption,<<< and >>>this mortal must put on immortality.<<< 54 So >>>when this corruptible has put on incorruption,<<< and >>>this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.<<< SECOND COMING: Revelation 19:11-16 Christ on a White Horse 11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and >>>in righteousness He judges and makes war.<<< 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and >>>His name is called The Word of God.<<< 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now >>>out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations.<<< And >>>He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron.<<< >>>He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.<<< 16 And >>>He has on His robe and on His thigh<<< a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
From David Jeremiah:
This is one of prophecy’s greatest misconceptions. The Rapture and the Second Coming are often confused, but they are distinct events, with distinct purposes, on God’s prophetic timeline.
At the Rapture, Jesus will return for His saints.
At the Second Coming, He will return with His saints.
At the Rapture, Jesus will not descend to earth.
At the Second Coming, He will descend to the Mount of Olives as a prelude to His earthly reign.
At the Rapture, Jesus will bring a blessing for His saints.
At the Second Coming, He will bring judgment for those who have rejected Him.
The Rapture could occur at any moment.
The Second Coming will occur seven years later.
When the Rapture occurs, Christ will take every deceased and every living Christian to heaven with Him. Paul describes this glorious event in 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17:
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
The Rapture will protect God’s saints from the Tribulation—the seven years of judgment that will be poured out on earth between the Rapture and the Second Coming. There are some who argue the Tribulation period will begin before the Rapture. However, the Bible says that “there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1), which suggests the Church will not experience God’s judgment during the Tribulation.
Seven years after the Rapture, Jesus will return to earth in the event known as the Second Coming. His return will be entirely different from His arrival in Bethlehem as a humble Child. When Christ returns, He will appear as the exalted King of the universe, surrounded by His saints. The powers of evil will be quickly defeated at the Battle of Armageddon, and then Christ will establish His everlasting kingdom on earth.
Believe God’s Word over all …. for we live in very dangerous days …. in which shall arise many who claim to be coming in Jesus’ Name, and also are teaching and prophesying “in His Name” …. therefore, be diligent about God’s Word being held to over all …. and do as Jesus Said: “Let NO MAN deceive you.” …. “Let NOT your selves be deceived in ANY manner.” …. (Mt. 24, Lk. 21 and 2 Thess. 1 & 2, and 1 Thess. 4 & 5, 1 Cor. 15, 2 Peter 3, Rev., Dan.) …. bearing in mind that the tribulation fore-told is what is Jacob’s Trouble …. and is not the Wrath of God, which is plainly fore-told and explained at the end of Rev. 6, and what leads up to through the Trump(et)s, to the fullness of the Wrath of God poured out as recorded in Rev. 16 to 18.
Same thing according to Jesus. Different according to man’s interpretation. Take your pick.
Rapture only for belivers and who are death in Christ. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-28). Only happen in the sky or the cloud.(unbelivers will not know). The second coming of Christ is Jesus will come as a king on earth. Everyone will know the second coming. That’s the different
same
Rapture 1st, then Christ comes to reign on earth
Rapture is not in scripture separate from Christ’s victorious return.
There is 1 parousia.
There’s one to gather the chosen some call the Rapture 1 Thes. 4-16-17.
Then he returns again for the final battle of Armageddon.
Rev. 19:13-16
Rev. 16:16
Rev. 6:16-17
I don’t believe the rapture is Biblical. We’re here for the duration. So there is no comparison.
Rodolfo Manzano, At the rapture, Jesus comes to take us to Heaven, And at His second coming, We come back from Heaven with Jesus. Jesus comes personally for His people at the Pre-Tribulation rapture. Jn 14: 1–3. 1 Thess 4: 14–17. And after the tribulation period, God send’s His Angels to gather those who get saved during the tribulation period. Matt 24: 29–31. Two different ecents.
The same
The rapture precedes the tribulation period, which ushers in His 2nd coming
The Wrath of God is what believers are saved from – not troubles (“tribulation), for it is fore-told that Jacob’s Trouble shall come (OT), see Rev. 6 …. see after the 5th Seal, see the end of the Seals as they are opened by the Lamb of God – the only One worthy to open them – one by one …. compare to what Jesus Said in the Gospels, such as Mt. 24, and the fullness of His Wrath shall be poured out, after the Trump(et)s have been sounded, after …. the final/last/7th …. as Jesus Said. See Rev. 16 to 18 …. here is a simple study guide image to show the order of the Seals that transition into the Trump(et)s, which then transition into the vials/bowls of the Wrath of God. Rule of Thumb, be as the Bereans, being more noble minded than the rest, who went to the Holy Scriptures and searched to make sure that anything they read/heard was so. For in the end, it will not matter what any other person has ever said, it matters what God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures recorded, said, for what is written, so shall it be. Amen and Amen. BE IN Jesus 24/7=4GIVEN=4EVER, come what may, God’s will be done, Amen and Amen.
No Difference, But Great tribulations are for the Elect/saints; and the days shall be shortened. So soon after Tribulations then Jesus Christ is Coming. Read Carefully Matthew 24&25; Key Chapters Of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Bible does not contradict itself, therefore, there is no Third coming of Jesus, he Didn’t say: am coming again and again. If he says Last Day; it means there will be no other days( John 6: 39-54). The 1,000 years- Millenium Is this Present period Revelation 20: 1-6; We Are Reigning with Christ, Satan Is Bound, Then he will be released That’s During ,(Daniel 12, Matthew 24: 21-22, Revelation 13: 11-18)GreatTribulations.Then Comes(Judgement Day/last Day/ Rapture/ Second Coming of Jesus)=it’s One Day[1Corinth 15: 50-55]. Thanks
