When i ask a Christian why do you believe in Christianity
Why not other religions?!is there something special or does the bible contain scientific verse which is now discovered !? How do you know that this is the word of god ?! simply his Answer will be
Because Jesus said i am the only way to God And he died for our sins .
What i observe from this is that they look like if they are really programmed or like Christianity is really weak and the Christians are follow their emotions.

and when we ask muslims they say because the koran says so. actually you have been talking to the wrong christians or probably not listening because there are many goods reasons to believe we have the truth. i was not raised a christian,i used to be agnostic,i prayed God if you are real show me the truth,he showed me Jesus christ and the Bible,not the koran or any other religion,hope that helps

I look at all creation like a crime scene and religions as witnesses.
You can apply this to any religion and begin your interview.
They weed themselves out rather logically when you approach them truly objectively looking for the best case witness of creation.And this is why I am most satisfied as a Christian.

I believe in the gospel because I have experienced God’s goodness for myself. I was a drug addict, and God stopped me right in the middle of my mess. He changed me in one moment! No rehab, no family to learn on, just God in His mercy. He held up a mirror to me and laid bare what I looked like before a Holy God. I was devastated in that moment, but it lead me to repentance. To understand the need for the cross, we have to understand how depraved we really are. My addiction was no more of an affliction than someone who loves money, porn, pride, jealousy etc. He bore my sin that I may receive forgiveness, mercy and a heart transplant. In one moment , I went from hating God, people, and life to loving God, loving people and thankfulness for the life given to me. Only the power of the gospel can transform a 41 year old life so drastically. God is holy, and we are not. But thanks be to Lord Jesus for trading His righteousness for my sin! I dont love Him out of duty, I love Him because He first loved me and made me able to love ! Oh the grace of it all. I serve a God full of grace and mercy !

Scientific verse ?? You need to stop searching for god scientifically. And search with your heart to try to understand the gospel .. why not other religions ? Jesús was the only to resurrect from the dead ,the only amongst other god worshippers ,, the god that gives life that is god our creator . There are many religions in the world. They do not all teach the same thing. In fact, many of them contradict each other. So, they can’t all be true and it cannot be said that each is a different path to God. What are we to say about all those other religions compared to Christianity? To get to the point, all other religions besides Christianity are false.
If Jesus is who He said He was, God in flesh, then whatever He says is authoritative and true. He said that He was the way the truth and the life and that nobody comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Right there we see that any other way, according to Jesus, is not true.
Christianity bases its truth and its doctrine on the word of God, the Bible. In the Word of God, Jesus claims to be the only way. Since He performed many miracles, raised people from the dead, commanded a storm to be still and it obeyed, healed diseases, and rose from the dead, then we are forced to face the reality of His words. Is what He said true or not? Either Jesus is a liar, a lunatic, or He is Lord. No one else in history, except Jesus, has fulfilled detailed prophecies, performed many miracles before eyewitnesses, and risen from the dead. Jesus is unique.
Those of us who are Christians, have trusted what Christ has said. We believe in what He said and did. Like it or not, Jesus is the one who said He was the only way. It is not the Christians who are being “narrow-minded.” It is Jesus. Therefore, to say that other religions can be true means that Jesus is false. To say that there are other ways to God, also means that Jesus is false. This is what it comes down to. Either Jesus is who He said He was and what He said is true, or He is false. This is the choice you must make: To trust what He said, or reject His words.

it is because of the evidence that supports the claims of Christianity i.e. the Incarnation of Jesus, death and resurrection. things that are evident not because it is said so but it is what happened. Jesus unlike Mohammed,, He said and proved. he claimed to be god and proved it. Mohammed on the other hand when asked for signs in the Quran, he would gives excuses and not the real thing(Surah 6:37, 10:20,11:12,13:7,13:27,17:59,29:50-51). Christianity is the only religion that makes claims and proves it. from science to historicity to archaeology to the future ,they all support the Christian claim.
i make inference from evidence form philosophy, history, science, archaeology to determine it’s truth claims. and all the date supports its truth claims, including the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. -
Sadiq, in my tradition we believe that it is impossible to have faith in God on our own. Man is a depraved being, we by nature have lose our ability to recognize God after the fall in the Garden of Eden. Our nature has been corrupted by sin as a consequence. For man to have faith in God again there must be divine intervention first where God has to awaken our spirit and moved to open the eyes of our hearts.

I became a Christian through the Parable of the lost sheep. I realised i was the lost sheep and that the Shepherd was perusing me because He loved me. Now i guess your argument about John 14:6 has just fallen apart

The question wrongly pressumes human beings to be the ultimate intelligence yet contradicts this assumption by talking of “scientific” evidence/verse that has been “discovered”. Discovery is about something that existed that humans have. come to know about.
I am a Christian because in Jesus I found the Truth which is contained in God’s word as found in the Bible. Jesus says, He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. I found the Truth – Jesus is the truth. I also gained eternal Life – that is Jesus. I found the Way – that is Jesus. I did not have an interest in other religions because I found the answer to Life’s question.
But then, these are matters of the Spirit and the Bible says “…the things of the Spirit are spiritually-discerned and are foolishnes to a person who is perishing…” So, If you do not understand all this, that too (your lack of understanding) is also written in the Bible.
Issue is, you have no excuse now, because you have heard the Word from so many on this forum and can never claim ignorance. -

There are scores of books which document that Mohammed gave rise to a religion of war. These books have made it clear that, from the very first claim by Mohammed that he had a revelation, Islam achieved almost no converts until it embraced violence.
The last commands to come from the lips of Mohammed make it clear that Islam is a religion of war, where the true believers are seen as the soldiers of Allah.
The last parts of the Koran which came from Mohammed, are the chapters commanding war, and certainly not any chapters extolling peace.
Commands from Allah to kill the unbelievers are what dominate the later part of the Koran, and these commands cancel out those few earlier commands which might suggest that Islam is a peaceful and tolerant religion. -
I guess to me, Christianity is the most consistent, it is logical. And it has grace. No other religion can offer a God who can relate to all human suffering . No other God has shown this kind of love or perfect justice

Christians, if you have ever tried to read a Koran, you will know that the book makes almost no sense. The Koran printed in its traditional order makes no sense to you and it makes no sense to most Muslims.
In Islam unbelievers are going to spend eternity in Hell, where we will have our skin burned off, only to have our skin grow back and be burned off again. By contrast, obedient Muslims are going to spend eternity in the Gardens of Paradise, gardens which have flowing rivers of fresh milk and of wine (yes, alcohol), whilst the unbelievers are drinking boiling water in Hell. But not all Muslims are assured of going to Paradise: only those who die fighting to impose the rules of Islam are guaranteed entry to Paradise:
“Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain”.
I told you it would make no sense? The Islamic belief is that the commands to kill in the Koran are the word of god, and to those who follow Islam there is no greater authority in the world than Allah. -
Christianity rises and falls with the resurrection. There are excellent historical reasons to believe that the resurrection occurred. That’s why I’m a Christian. That’s not to put down other religions, which contain elements of the truth. But God’s revelation through Judaism and Christianity is unique.

Yes. It is a good point !! When I talk to perhaps young people about the hope that is in me, the faith that I live by, I can’t really say, “because the Bible says”, and it is so because they do not believe in the Bible. I believe good way to do apologetics is to ask them questions about what they believe. The school’s they are going into is brainwashing them that they Are the descendants of fish and there is no higher justice and that the quarks and electrons after the Big Bang naturally select them selfs into human body. By the knowledge of basics (noticed BASICS no need to be scientist) of biology, quantum mechanics, astrophysics, and basic laws of universe I have an opportunity to question their beliefs. But it’s necessary to do some homework to know how to use theses arguments and expose the nonsense of creation without a creator. Jesus said you can’t come to the house of a strong man and take his Stuff, first you need to overcome that man then you can take his stuff” same principle works in evangelicalism by debate and reasoning. Yes Gods word is alive and the Gospel is the power of God to salvation, but didn’t Jesus, the word of God Himself, send the John the Baptist, before Him. John prepared the hearts of people to accept the word by preaching repentance. Same we must do. Make the way for the Lord, make the paths of the Lord straight. Beauty of open air preaching and evangelizing is that people won’t be able to just mock your reasonable arguments like they do on internet. One example of logical reasoning which points the need of include intelligent designer. Ask people. When we walk in the park and find the book on the ground we would never think the book could write itself, there must have been a writer. But why ?? Because the evidence within the book. The letters in the book, 30-50 depending on Language, are caring information, notice IN-formation, they are placed each one by one in perfect order and carry a message because of that. It would be ridiculous to suggest this was just a coincidence. And that is a proof of intelligent assembly or those letters in order to Cary that message in the book. Same principle we see in our DNA. But much higher evidence inNot only perfect order of literal “blue print” of how to build our body but also device to read that blue print and also devices how to actually do it. All this must to came in existence at the same time because it’s useless without complete form of it. There is much more but this was just the example how to talk people. The critics are right in protesting that Christians have not proven their case simply by repeating Jesus’ words of exclusivity. What I am not hearing any Christians say is probably the most important issue of all. It is this: absolutely no one believes that Christianity is true because of clever arguments or memorized Scripture repeated like a robot. The only reason that I, as a former atheist, came to have a settled mind about Christianity is because of a revelation. The revelation cannot be gained through arguments or even by study or comparing religions. The revelation must come from the living God directly to the heart and without it, no heart will ever be convinced. Yet with it, paradoxically, no heart ever needs convincing. Here’s the explanation Jesus Himself gave about it and from observation, I have never found an exception to it. (Matthew 11:27 & Luke 10:22) “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom Son wills to reveal Him.”. That pretty much locks it up. Without that revelation, we are all out to lunch. Each true Christian believer, with all their faults and immaturity can still point back to a specific moment in time when this particular revelation was given to them. They know in their knower that Jesus is alive and real and that there is a Father God in heaven who loves them. They are transformed by this revelation and never think after the old patterns of thought again. That explains the similar, radical, character transformations in people disconnected by distance and culture which otherwise makes no logical sense. They all claim that they know the Bible is true, Jesus is alive and well, and there is a God in heaven….without cross consultation. How? They all got the same revelation. The problem for skeptics is two-fold. They cannot demand to their satisfaction that this revelation be put in a test tube and proven by natural science, because it is supernatural by its Designer. Second, they cannot demand that the same revelation be given to them, because according to Jesus, it is His right to choose His own subjects, not their right to dictate to Him. There is one hope for skeptics. They can humbly ask God to show Himself to them. It remains God’s sovereign decision. But it is their only hope.

If you research instead of just assuming you would find that there was over 5600 manuscripts that showed that Jesus walked the earth and performed miracles. Independent historians reacted the same without bias. Some of the historians were pagans much like you and still admitted his existence.

Two of them affirm the historical account of his crucifixion. Islam denies history so Islam is out.
One of the remaining two accepts that he rose from the dead while the other denies that.
Considering Judaism, really it boils down to a God who hasn’t kept his promise of the Messiah. Daniel said the Messiah would come before certain time. Christianity affirms this while Judaism denies this. So this timeline proves Judaism is wrong on this topic, and thus crumbles in an ultimate sense.
Christianity, on the other hand, deals with all of the same prophecy that Judaism affirms, and if Christ did rise from the dead, then Christianity is true. And all of the reasons provided by skeptics against His resurrection are very poor excuses to get away from the reality of His resurrection.
And so, Christianity is true.

As to why we believe in Christianity – wrong statement – we believe in Jesus Christ. We are not saved by Christianity we are saved by Jesus Christ. The TRUTH that is in the Bible is indelible. God has spoken and His words to a repentant heart are all that it takes for a Christian to know that truth which sets him free. Jesus Christ is our LORD and SAVIOUR and there is none other. Islam, on the other hand, is a false religion of works coupled with plenty of pagan practices which give it a sense of religion without holiness or righteousness.

I believe the Bible is true because God saved my soul. That’s the only reason why. I would not believe the miracles but God performed a miracle within me when I believed on Jesus. I haven’t been able to disbelieve the Bible for 34 years.

Akram Abdullah Paul wrote a letter to the Corinth church that was dated around 58 A.D. This is just 35 years after Jesus died. In his letter in Chapter 15 Paul wrote about Jesus’ death, being raised from the dead, and being seen by witnesses. Over 500 witnesses most that were still alive and some that were in Corinth! This letter was copied and circulated throughout Asia Minor and modern Turkey. No one countered the letter and said Paul was lied.

Akram, I walked in the lust of my flesh and in narcissism for 35-yrs and I was headed to death in sin and death in Hell while thinking I was a “good” person and that surely God accepted me as I was…it was not until I took the time (out of pride) to sit and read through the New Testament of the Holy Bible in an easy to read version that my life was forever changed by the power of God the Holy Spirit.
Approximately one-half-way through my initial read of the New Testament, I looked up from the pages of Scripture and asked “Where has this been all my life?” Something happened to my inner-man as I read the Scriptures…I came to know without a doubt that Jesus Christ is indeed God who entered Time some 2019-yrs ago and suffered and died for ME…Jesus Christ died to pay my sin-debt that I could not pay and when I sincerely believed this with my whole heart, a change manifest in my life…I began to see the World and LIFE from a different perspective…my desires and affections began to change and every question I previously had about the origin of life, meaning of life, morality – my destiny, these were ALL answered by the Holy Spirit within the pages of Scripture as He spoke to my heart and opened my eyes to the things of God (2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 John 2:27).
That was 27-yrs ago and I am here to testify that Jesus Christ is exactly Who He said He is and unless a man or woman humbles them self before God the Father, repents of their sin and believes in their heart, confesses with their mouth that Jesus Christ is God who died to pay their sin debt and believes that Jesus was resurrected from the dead for their justification, unless a man or woman sincerely believes this and confesses same with their mouth, they will NOT see life in God’s Kingdom subsequent to the death of their body in Time (Romans 10:9-10; John 8:24). If you desire life in Eternity in service to our God…if you desire to know God…you must repent of sin and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is God who died for you to provide you forgiveness of sin and life in Eternity (John 3:16)!
Atheists, secularists, naturalists, moral relativists, religionists, mock God and Christianity because these people don’t know the Holy Spirit…they have never truly tried to know God personally; therefore, God remains an enigma to them. Anyone who truly desires to know God and seeks Him with their whole heart, He will be found by them (Jeremiah 29:13) – but – you must first believe that He is God and understand that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. There is no other way to know God the Father but by first trusting-believing in the Son, Jesus Christ, as your personal Lord and Savior for the mediation of your sins (John 14:6)!
It is ONLY by grace (unmerited favor from God unattainable by human effort) through faith (trusting-believing) in Jesus Christ as Lord that you have access to the indwelling Holy Spirit and a knowledge of God’s deeper secrets concerning Time and Eternity and your destiny with assurance of Eternal life (Ephesians 1:13; John 16:13).

Can you honestly tell me that you’ve met a muslim, hindu, jew, hare krishna, bah’hai, buddhist, etc. that was so joyous and excited to talk about their faiths with others in the way you see we Christians do with ours? If you’re honest with yourself you know the answer is no, and why is that? Because all those other religions teach works based methods to get to Heaven or reach and attain their state of blissfulness. Every single one of those faiths teach that man is solely responsible for not just his actions but his own destiny after death. Man is taught to do good deeds out of fear of their god(s) unleashing wrath and punishment on them for not doing good deeds or lack thereof. Even if anyone in those faiths were to follow allnof their religious rules on how to live they are not guaranteed any “heaven” or eternal bliss. This causes a lot of people in these religions to feel a sense of pressure, doubt, worry, fear, anxiety, hopelessness, lack of any kind of optimism, and helplessness, thereby giving them no assurance that they did enough in their lives or past lives (since some like buddhism and hinduism believe in reincarnation) to merit an eternal reward over a punishment. Christianity, however, already gives the believer 100% assurance of salvation that is not based on good works to obtain it but by what Jesus Christ did, which was die on the cross as a sacrifice for all humanity whom does deserve worse than what Jesus got. Jesus Christ is the only human being to be fully human and fully divine and live out a perfect, holy life (which is summarized in the 10 commandments, which serve as a purpose for us on what it truly means to be good, but that because of our inherited sin nature we are not capable of fulfilling it not even by our own actions). In Christianity we are told that the pathway to destruction is broad and wide while the pathway to Heaven is narrow and few people find it (Matthew 7:14-15). Romans 10:9 also says that of you confess Jesus to be Lord and savior you, that He was raised from the dead you WILL have everlasting eternal life. It’s a basic guarantee that you will go to Heaven for believing this. That’s what sets real Christianity apart from the rest.

I heard, and from those who loved God and Loved me. Then as an adult I ventured to read and investigate as to know WHAT God expects from me and what by Christianity means beyond what I heard. And I found that what I believe is the TRUTH!
Later, God recalled things to me that I had learned in science classes. Things that He told us long long long before we had science books and instruments to even KNOW what He was talking about…,
Then He tells us that He reveals Himself in His creation.
From there, we can take and reach others with what they have learned about God’s creation.

The Holy Spirit is the revealer of all truth. Unless one repents and asks forgiveness and believe in what the Son of God did at Calvary, its fruitless to use logic to try to explain it. God came down to deliver us from hell. Working for or trying to earn your way into heaven will send a person to hell. Repentance and faith is the key.

When I was 26, I was taking science in university, and partying too much. I tried to stop drinking, but I could not. I was very depressed, and feeling hopeless. Many people told me I needed Jesus, but I couldn’t understand who he was. I started reading the Bible, but I could not understand it.
Then, my future husband explained the gospel, how Jesus died on the cross for my sins. I needed to repent of my sins, and believe in Jesus. Then, God spoke to me. He told me he was the Saviour of the world, and I needed to worship him. This was not a vision, it was the Holy Spirit calling me. God saved me, and I repented and I have served him for 40 years.
After this happened, I went home and started reading my Bible. All the question marks and circles were answered – the answer was Jesus. I had met the author of the book.
God saving me was the turning point in my whole life. My life is not perfect, but I have a God who is. I probably would be dead or something else, if Jesus had not put me on that narrow road that leads to him. No more looking back at the broad road that leads to destruction, just growing in character and joy. Which I could NOT do on my own!

What you call weak may be acceptance. We accept the testimony of the church; Christ died and was resurrected.
Christianity is a confession. We confess Jesus is Lord. But Christianity is also an experience. We have fellowship with God.
From the beginning, Christianity has been rooted in evidence; Eye witness claims and transformed lives.
