  3. George Banagis says:

    agreed

  4. Aaron Vgp says:

If there’s no free will then God is the one that makes us sin.

If God just imposed salvation on people then there would be no reason for Jesus to die.

  5. Joe Friend says:

Without free will there is no such thing as love. And we are all sock puppets. The fact that you even have a post like that and don’t believe in free will blows my mind. Where is common sense?

  6. Marc McNab says:

Did you have freewill to make
    your post?

  7. George Banagis says:

Here Ephesians shows us in context the way a man is saved. Notice how much God controls the call before man has what it takes to believe.

“QUICK .”Quick means living and active — LIFE-GIVING! “For the word of God that speaks is alive and full of power — making it active, operative, energizing and effective, notice the context of Ephesians which shows us step by step how the salvation process works.

    Eph, 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved
6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast

  8. Aaron Vgp says:

The fact that people disagree is evidence of free will.

    “whoever believes”

  11. Bob Jones says:

Well all I can say is Adam and Eve had free will to choose to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil so why wouldn’t God give them same free will to us all. Oh and by the way Calvinism teaches that God loves some people and hates the rest and I just don’t buy that

  12. RT Junior Khouchung says:

“Whoever believed will be save” is a freewill

Right next to where it says we don’t.

  15. Jojo Ibanez says:

Salvation does not require freewill. God’s will leads to salvation. Period.

  16. Yolanda Villagomez says:

If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority.

    John 7:17

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

    Proverbs 16:9

  17. Ronald Mckinney says:

We have freewill to accept His gift of Grace through our faith and His. Chaplain Ron

  18. Romualdo Venturanza says:

These conclusions does not have to have specific texts in Scripture. These are conclusions after premises for free will are established by sound arguments that free will exists. Now, we can accept or reject John 3:16. To those who reject John 3:16, the alternative is perishing, but to those who accept Jesus, the Word, they will not perish, but have life everlasting.

  19. Dennis Demo says:

The post is for calvinist who defends predestination (the elect) doctrine which is biblical but neglect John 3:16 (whosoever believeth in him) doctrine which is also biblical. IF the two doctrine are biblical, then how do you harmonized the two doctrine? You cant!! “Bear in mind that our Lords patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the WISDOM that GOD GAVE him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them this matters . His letters CONTAIN some things that are HARD TO UNDERSTAND, which IGNORANT and UNSTABLE people DISTORT, as they do the other scriptures, to their own destruction” ( 2Peter 3:15-16). We cannot know EVERYTHING, only the things that are REVEALED to us that we can uderstand.”The secret things BELONGS to the Lord ourGod, but the things REVEALED belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law” (deuteronomy 29:29). But many of us distorts scriptures just to defend what they believe, and sadly they think the are right

  20. Ed Gazmen says:

The Bible states that the unregenerate man does not seek God. He cannot and does not seek God. God predestinates us “unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself” Eph 1:5

  21. Jac says:

Every scripture that’s says repent, turn from your wicked ways, believe, come to me.. And so on.
These statements shows that’s there’s a response expected from human and that’s why we call free will to accept the call of God

  22. Robert Edward Fuller IV says:

I think it’s funny that people like to throw the term Freewill around the only one who has free will is Satan. God cannot tell a lie and He can only do what is good because that is his nature. The Scripture says we are either slaves to righteousness or slaves to sin. I don’t see anything about free will there.

Joshua 24:15 15But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

  31. Alan Parsons says:

well no point in preaching the gospel to anyone since no one has a free will of their own to choose to accept God’s gift of salvation. Either they’re forced to believe and be saved so no point in telling them the good news or they’re forced to go to hell no matter what they do so same logic applies. Good talk lol

    Who is a calvanist?

  33. Bruce Venable says:

Jn.1:11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

Mat.23:37¶O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye WOULD NOT.

Acts13:46Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles

  34. C Cornell Hicks says:

Felix in In Acts 24 fully rejects the message.

Man’s free will can only operate within the context of God’s Divine Sovereignty.

  45. Rolando Delpozo Jr says:

Don’t tell me if you are born again , you are born again because of your free will? Do you? Born again is born from above . . .
    Not by human will . . .
    Not by human work . . .
    Not by human way . . .
    BUT
    BORN FROM ABOVE
    BORN OF GOD
    BORN OF SPIRIT

  46. Samuel Inbaraja says:

35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. John 3. People can believe or reject with their free-will.

  47. Joshua Wigley says:

    In 1 Opinions 3:16

  48. Steve Atkinson says:

Do we lose free will after salvation? Free will is so misunderstood. Man has a depraved nature which governs his will. can the leopard change his spots. Answer no then can you who ate proned to do evil do good. Mans will is governed by his nature. You cannot seperate these.
