  5. Max Wolfe says:

Melissa Nicole what? This isn’t new, it’s been going on since the early church. Why does that make me a jerk, and how is calling me a jerk not jerky?

  6. Melissa Nicole says:

Who cares if it’s not new? He was just sharing. Pointing that out is haughtiness and makes you a jerk. There was no reason for that snide remark. He didn’t ask if it was new information

  7. Melissa Nicole says:

How dare you correct someone for voluntarily sharing a reason they believe the Bible? It’s not your place.

  8. Selam Alexandria says:

    I like Joel olsteen

  9. Jerry Pierre says:

Maybe if you were being yourself and your best self there wouldn’t be a need for his book don’t you think?

  10. Justin Bennett says:

I personally don’t like the uber grace preachers and prosperity preachers. But a false teacher is a deceiver, someone preaching a different gospel and leading the flock astray. Joel Osteen may not be the best teacher and might not be preaching the full counsel of God, but that doesn’t make him a deceiver. I think this term “false teacher” is thrown around too much.

Osteen is NOT a preacher, he is a motivational speaker for sure.

  14. Mark Fonner says:

Why it is easy to pick on Olsteen, I kind of feel a bit sorry for him. He had to be talked into taking that pulpit after his father died.

  15. Merenla Jamir says:

What’s bad in becoming a better person. I think you need to read this book to become a “better you.”

  16. Michael Hurtado says:

Anyone who likes Joel olsteen really needs to sit down and watch the documentary American gospel and see how deceitful this guy really is

  17. Max Wolfe says:

The fundamental problem with prosperity gospel teachers such as Joel Osteen is, If I am following Jesus for my sake, it is tantamount to Idolatry. I should be Following Christ for his sake, because he bore the punishment for my shame and he is worthy of my worship. I will believe in Christ regardless of how my life turns out here on earth, in fact the bible most definitely says following Christ will most likely lead to Pain, suffering and persecution here on earth in exchange for an eternity of Joy with him.

  26. Rick Holtsclaw says:

I believe the Bible because it’s our Creator’s message to us defining origin, meaning, morality, destiny and explains who, what, where, when, why, how, concerning why God created, how we can know God and develop an intimate relationship with Him and how that relationship impacts our eternal destiny.

  27. Eli R. Kumar says:

2Timothy 1-5 New International Version (NIV)
3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

    …………………………………………….

2 Timothy 3:1-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

    King James Version (KJV)
