Can you give us an example of nothing existing? Science has never claimed there ever was a state of nothing.

Anything that exists is moving along a process, the process of existing. It’s continuing in time. For it to be continuing a process of existing, it had to begin that existence. There is no question that the universe had a defined origin point because all scientific data and logic point to the fact that everything has an origin point. If it has form, existence, or movement, that is a process that has to have a beginning. The question is what happened before the beginning and what was the first cause. The first cause is absolutely a Creator God but that takes a larger argument. The question of beginning or first cause is not up for debate because the opposing side can’t prove a negative. All the data points to yes there was a beginning.
