Because if you got baptized in armor, you would drown. Knights in shining armor do not float very well.

  2. Josh Mariscal says:

Because it’s salvation that secures us as believers, it’s not baptism. Baptism is merely an outward expression of an inward change, it’s not what saves us, whereas faith in Christ is the means to salvation, and thus can be used to protect us against attacks of the enemy telling us God doesn’t love us or that we aren’t saved. Baptism can’t do that

1 Peter, Baptism does also now save you. Know the Scripture. God’s promise counts even if men choose not to believe. It saves because like the Word it creates faith with the word, pepole can receive it and loose the immediate effect unless nurtured.

  12. Harvey Darell Barete Dalman says:

Baptism is Temporal, not Eternal and it will save us from these “Untoward Generation”(Acts 2:38-40) and also the answer of a good conscience toward God(1 Peter 3:21) in these Temporal World, and it is not necessary for “OUR” eternal Salvation.

Just like the “Thief on the Right” never baptized but he was saved. God bless.

  13. Dale Peeples says:

Because baptism doesn’t save you just Jesus did see the thief on the cross for reference

  14. Nikki Sheppick says:

Except you have the Holy Blood of the Lamb, none would be saved at all. Jesus/God baptizes with the Holy Spirit of Truth and Life Eternal, and with the baptism of fire. How to be an overcomer in these days, even as Jesus: Rev. 3, Rev. 6, Rev. 12:10-12, Rev. 20:4, KJV – Study and blessed are those who have the ears to hear, and hear ….

  15. Michael Howell says:

HAVE YOU LOOKED TO CHRIST FOR YOUR SALVATION?
    Luke 23:40-44
But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

  22. David Huckabay Jr says:

Baptism does not save or protect you. Baptism is only an public demonstration of identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It’s a way of letting others know you believe in Jesus as Lord and savoir.

  23. William Clark says:

I don’t see where salvation is part of the armor of God. Not you might be able to indirectly argue that since salvation LEADS to the armor of God, but the armor of God is a direct RESULT of salvation.

  29. Emanuel Mullen says:

Baptism is not apart of the Armor of God because “baptism do not save anyone.” It is a important step of obedience for a Christian, but we adamantly reject baptism as being required for salvation. Baptism illustrates a believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Requiring anything in addition to faith in Jesus Christ for salvation is a works-based salvation. To say that we must add baptism for salvation is to say we must add our own good works and obedience to Christ’s death in order to make it sufficient for salvation. Jesus death alone paid for our sins. There are some verse that seem to indicate baptism as a requirement for salvation. But the Scripture clearly teaches us that salvation is received by faith alone, there must be a different interpretation of those verses. Scripture does not contradict Scripture.

  30. Michael Hurley says:

    1 Peter 3
21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

  31. Martin Gagnon says:

Cuz water baptisem is a symbol only. The Word of God is where we learn about God begining with Salvation and all things we need to fight the Spirutual battle against evil.

  32. Michael Gellner says:

Because baptism is before the armor is given unto you. The armor is God’s armor and it was never ours.

    Acts 2:38

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
