Would your pastor know what to do if the Holy Spirit was poured out and every person started prophesying?
What would he do if they all left the building went everywhere prophecying?
Would your pastor know what to do if the Holy Spirit was poured out and every person started prophesying?
What would he do if they all left the building went everywhere prophecying?
What if it spread to the homes and everyone met in homes and quit going to the church building?
What if the pastor could only preach and couldn’t prophecy?
I’ve just moved and I’ve visited churches with people are reconnecting with. I’d like to do something with a more domestic church than an international English speaking one, though I’ve got to reconsider the kids. The last one we went to around here had plural elders. No, they probably wouldn’t know what to do, so I’ll put ‘no.’
But I’d like to point out that the Bible never says we are to go to church and hear a pastor preach. The one long chapter that deals with what to do in church is really positive about the idea of all prophesying. “But if all prophesy…” and “For ye may all prophesy one by one…”
The main concern would be about how to take up tithes and offerings after all our church structure is primarily geared to make money not disciples. We need profits not prophets!
Does prophesying make disciples? Did i read somewhere that we are to make disciple by “teaching them to observe” something?
My pastor is a very devout man of God. He is s blessing.
Barry Lee said he would know what to do and i believe he does!!!
Barry and Teresa Lee are some if my closest friends. I lived with Teresa’s family for a long time.
Teresa was my college sweetheart through Tenn youth camps and one semester of Lee College and then she abandoned me and found a replacement, Barry Lee. 😉
She made a better choice! I’ve met them couple years ago and they are a terrific couple!
I love Teresa very much. They saved my life. My daughter was in her wedding. Wonder full memories.
