You don’t. People ought to be free to live according to their own conscience, and not necessarily to the religious values of someone else.
You don’t feed steak to a baby.
The same way we do anyone else. Point them to Christ. He has the power to save, the sin is not the first thing we attack. We lead them to Christ and he does the work.
Jesus only asked us to preach the gospel, not to judge, regardless what our opinions are, once they accept the offer of Salvation, the Holy Spirit will lead them to the truth, and the truth will set them free ?❤️
Present it the same way you would to any other sinner (i.e. everyone).
Share the gospel FIRST and FOREMOST. Catch fish!!!…only after fish are caught can they be cleaned.

In my opinion, non judgemental attitude is the 1st best approach. then preach the Gospel without confronting their vice. Pray that the Holy Spirit will do the Convicting and changing of their heart.
Don’t address an individual’s specific sin. Rather, present the gospel accurately as it covers all of our sins.
As someone who lived life like that for 25 years until I came to know the Love of Christ and wanted Nothing to be in between the Lord and my self it was the Love and truth spoken by men and women of God not condemning but out of a love that surpasses all understanding the compassion of Christ. It wasn’t Bunch of scriptures ( I found those on my own because I wanted to know who this Jesus was)
I encourage you not to say anything until you have earned this persons love and respect. Once you have earned that position in their life and only then will they listen to you. Get that love and respect by being Jesus to him/her. Care genuinely about them, serve them and show them to the love of Christ.
Why do you want to convict him?!?!? Shouldnt you teach him about the Love of God?!?! Let the Holy Spirit convict him as He does us. Mind that our sin is as bad as the one of the gay. We are no better!!!! May we all have Gods mercy and let Jesus be the Judge
Focus on grace of Jesus, and why we need grace and mercy. Be respectful and gentle.
I would say, no judgment, or condemnation. Its not our responsibility to teach the law. It’s a Christian’s responsiblty to learn and obey the law, because they love God and want to obey His laws. Introduce them to Jesus. Preach and show the love of Jesus. Remember the second commandment of Jesus. Then let the Holy Spirit convict your friend, into living a holier life. Peace.
Them being gay is not the issue. The issue is that they are dead in their sins and need a Saviour just like anyone else who is not saved. Ask them where they think they will spend eternity and go from there
Directly.
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
First of all the word gay is very offensive. Our only responsibility is to share the gospel of grace with truth in love. God is the one who can change people not us.
You cannot convince any sinner you must repent or you go to Hell. This goes against the teaching of Christ. You don’t use treat to convert people. You must be a servant and serve those people. Pray to them and understand what they have gone thru. Most often it is their upbringing that lead them their sin. With counseling and support those people, they can change. They must see your Christ loving them in order for them to change their mind. Christian often don’t do this and brush them off like they are already dead in their sin. You must show them much like Christ show you. It takes time and not an instance conversion. It is like Christ stay with their disciple for long period of time teaching them before they believe.
Sin is sin. Regardless of the sin, they must first admit that they are a sinner and need salvation. That has to be the starting point. Back when I was an atheist, I would tell Christians “I do not need to be saved from anything! I am fine just like I am”. Until I realized that I needed to change, they were wasting their time even trying to witness to me.
Remember that there are more dimensions of a person than just their sexuality. Speak with love and grace to address their whole person, and if they choose to focus on sexuality and ask you for scriptures, then have a gentle conversation. Do not compromise in truth, but understand that this is a subject that must be handled with great care.
Just curious, does it change the way we present the gospel based on the particular sins of the sinner? If this was the case we will have to have a different version of the Gospel for every particular sin known to man. Really?
Focus on the grace of God! We are not to condemn people. Christ died for our sins. Explain what sin is, and explain that being gay is sinful. Christ reaches people at the heart level. Allow the Holy Spirit to work in his life. Present the Gospel, help him to understand it, and love him through the process.
How would you deal with specific sin for anyone else? Sin is sin.
Give them the Gospel as you would to anyone else. If the conversation comes up if homosexuality is a sin, tell them yes and then explain why. I understand why you asked the question and it’s because of how society has turned it into such a grand thing so thanks for taking the time to ask the question. It’s important.
Shaming people to get them closer to god is ironic. . Its like beating someone into loving you.. just a be a great example
What i would do is kill him with kindness and a mouth filled by the name of God. He’ll be curious and will be interested. Then, you can testify and share what the bible say.
Thats pretty much what Jesus did.
Preach the gospel to him. Is being gay his only sin? He already knows God does not approve of his lifestyle. Maybe he has other sins that God wishes to show him first.
Basically, sin is sin and we need a Saviour. In while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
Introduce him to Jesus. God will sanctify him. <3
It’s not up to us to change someone, it’s up to Jesus. Show them His love and let Him handle the rest.
I think my favourite way that I have heard this, was a suggestion from Jacky Hill-Perry.
She said that everybody needs to hear the gospel, but that when speaking to someone in the gay lifestyle, we need to stop presenting the ‘heterosexual gospel’ but instead just do what you do for everyone else, and present ‘The Gospel’…
I don’t agree with their lifestyle. And it goes against Gods word yes… BUT: don’t try present Christ through the eyes of a heterosexual, just present Christ! ?
I have studied His Word for many years now. I have learned the original languages. I have studied and examined the science supporting the Scriptures. I have taught and contended apologetics. The gospel has remained the same.
The wage of all sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.
This message is for all mankind, no one’s sin is greater or lesser than anothers. The sooner we understand this, the better our sharing of the gospel will be.
Amen
Only God can make them receptive. Some he has given up to their passions; I think the term is reprobate?
Leave scripture out of it until they know you care.
They don’t care how much you know until they see how much you care.
The same way you would to any body who isn’t saved. You don’t need to throw the gay thing at them. Present the gospel. Either they will accept it or not (maybe a seed will be planted). If they come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit will convict them. It’s not your job.
The point is not that a gay person is living against God’s law, but that everyone is living against God’s law. The Gospel is not about a gay person becoming straight, but a person dead in sin becoming alive in Christ.
Try the Ray Comfort method
Ray Comfort has the absolute best model for sharing the gospel I’ve ever seen. He has a lot of videos on YouTube.
I think it’s hyper-important to stress to the person that his sin is NO WORSE than any other sin. Present the info gently and non-judgmentally. Christ only lashed out at people who “knew better” but sinned anyway. He was even gentle with the woman at the well who was a “habitual sinner”. He didn’t get in her face or jump all over her. He spoke to her in such a way that kept her asking questions and wanting to know more of the truth.
I try to point out that even though homosexuality is wrong, so is lying, stealing, adulatory, idolatry, are all wrong. Without Jesus, we all fall short. We needs to accept Christ as our savior and repent. If I just start attacking their lifestyle choices only, they just shut me out completely
It’s no different than any other lost person. You present them with the truth. We are all sinners. Not just gays. All sin, not just gay sin, is punished by God. Jesus took the punishment. We can let his punishment pay for our sin, or we can refuse it and take the punishment ourselves. Gay, straight, good person, bad person, you, me . . . all have sinned, and fallen short.
As an ex gay myself, I can unfortunately tell you that there is no right or wrong answer. However, Ken Ham’s approach is especially effective. He points out that our starting point really makes a difference. A gay Christian should change when you show them what the Bible says. A non-Christian, however, won’t care what the Bible says. We cannot expect unbelievers to live like believers. Basically, leave it aside as a side issue.
Dear bro… We can’t straight away warn them for their immoral practices. Firstly, we should make a strong and stable trust on us (as Best Friend).
Then we should make them believe that we speak for their betterment.
Them we can introduce Christ who can cast out their sorrows and sins.
And show them the way of heaven…
Suitable Reff: 1 Cor.6:8-20 & John 3:16
If he accepts not he / she has no light. He / she needs to take it up with the Lord Not you. Because if he won’t accept the word of God nothing you say will soften his / her heart.
The it’s up to you to pray in their behalf.
God “accepted” us even if we are sinners because He loves us but still He is not “approving” the sinful ways we live and any sin we have.
Probably good to separate the two issues. Focus on discussing God. Better to emphasize accepted by God when in Christ because of His suffering and sacrifice. If he brings up gender issues emphasize “for all have sinned and come short….” and go back to acceptance through believing in Jesus. We all know that it’s about forgiveness but that can be a trigger word so you have to ease into it. My 2 cents.
Don’t forget that eating lobster is a sin. So is eating unscaled fish. How long do you plan on living without sin? Thank God for His Son Jesus to save us from our sins! How carried away do you want to get?
Just present the gospel and let the Holy Spirit do the work of conviction of sin.
Stop using the Bible to justify your bigotry.
If you have a problem with homosexuality, then it’s your problem. Not theirs.
We must question the story logic of an omnipotent God who will create gay’s, then blame them for its own incompetence.
