God‘s authority is central to any thoughtful discussion about the Almighty. Indeed, what seems to separate many dedicated and firm Christians is the question as to what extent God‘s authority extends—Into man’s salvation or not? Your thoughts.

God is either absolutely sovereign or He is not … and if your god is not .. Then he is not the God of Scripture … For the God of the Bible is absolutely sovereign over all things even salvation

Your question makes salvation seem like a mandate or court order. Grace of salvation is a gift for all who believe. Maybe I don’t understand your question but God planned the cross and to create a chosen people but he didn’t force individuals to believe in his salvation. They desired it and their faith saved them.

God maxe man a signiicfant other. Man chose to disregard God and so became bound by evil. It is more nauanced that usually presented for there is free will in many difcerent ways. We have more gmfree emwill than animwl who are more vmcontroled by instinct but not totally Since we ate dead in. trespasses s ane sin our free will. s much deminished by our fallen nature so that we nmxmcan not really choose to obey God without the faith that is God’s gift. God does control the flow of events so his purposes are fullfilled. But he let us have the consequencies of our poor choices in in his attempt to reach us with his word. If we are saved it is totally his doing for we are his enemies by our fallen nature.

From the very beginning to the wonderful glorification of His elect, God’s authority reigns in those that are His.

God gets his will done thrlrough free creatures, he’s that sovreign.

Is God the author of sin or not? If God is the author of sin as well, then man has no will at all call it free will whatever adjective attached to it.
