  1. Robert Oliver says:

When Jesus was on earth, was God the Father on the throne in heaven? Yes or no?

  2. Wagner Bariani Santiago says:

Why is so difficult to understand the trinity??
Just read the Bible and accept!

  3. Jefferson Elder says:

To deny the trinity is to deny the individuality of the Son (the word) and the Spirt. Both individuals known since the old testament and even worshiped. Jesus made it clear that he is the Son, the Angel of the Lord. Who at the same time was God but was also sent by Him.

  4. Peggy Kalivoda says:

At Jesus baptism Jesus got baptized, the Holy Spirit like a dove landed on Him and then the voice of the Father said “This is my beloved Son. Listen to Him.
    There’s the Trinity right there.

  5. Mike Dobson says:

Oneness Pentecostal believe in Modalism and teaching that says there is One God but he shows himself in three modes. It was declared a heresy.

  6. Jojo Olmstead says:

1 The Father Draws his people
    2 The Holy spirit seals
    3 The Son Redeems
God blessed 3 in 1 Amen HALLELUJAH!!

  7. Mark McGee says:

Hi, Zamkhokai. As I pointed out in your previous post about Oneness Pentecostal theology, it began in the early part of the 20th century. Trinitarian theology dates to the 1st century. Your meme is not factual. You wrote previously that your primary purpose for being in this group was to defend UPCI theology. Since you didn’t respond to me earlier, I’ll ask you again to defend the teachings of Charles Parham, R.E. McAlister, Frank J. Ewart and John G. Scheppe that led to the UPCI. Thank you in advance for your response.

  8. Mark Celio says:

John 1:1 in the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and the WORD was God.

  9. Vic Clement says:

    Oneness Pentacostalism, heresy since 1914.

  10. Adam Mathis says:

    More like devil filled heresy

  11. Freddy Jocksand Diaz says:

Say those who openly disobey Jesus’s Great Comission Mandate on Matthew 28:19-20…

  12. Bob White says:

Don’t feed the troll, he has been pushing this heresy for a few days now. His proof texts are standard fare OP out of context scripture. Please pray for God to open his eyes to the Truth, he does not seem to consider in depth the scriptures shared with him. Oneness Pentecostalism is a non Christian cult in my personal view.

  13. Vic Clement says:

Jesus said no one, except the son, has seen the Father. Moses was covered by the hand of God, then saw God’s back. Who did Moses see? This question seems to send followers of Oneness Pentacostalism into the word salad realm.

  14. Steve Losee says:

NO truth here! God’s triunity is described from Gen. 1:1 on, and the “oneness” heresy is from a very different spirit!

  15. Gus Rodriguez says:

The Nicean Creed was NOT invented then, it was written TO REAFFIRM and permeate the beliefs of the early church AGAINST the false doctrines of those days, get your facts straight please.

  16. Randy Omatta says:

Yet Oneness still cannot interpret this text.

“As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire. “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.
    Daniel 7:9‭, ‬13‭-‬14

  17. Randy Omatta says:

I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that he made to us — eternal life. I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
    1 John 2:21‭-‬26

  18. Vic Clement says:

In the absence of an actual apologetic, the original post here is nothing more than a drive by assertion of a belief. That is, a trolling of the group.

There should probably be a rule against doing that. It serves no intellectual or redeeming purpose.

  19. Dennis Demo says:

It is true that oneness doctrine is a spirit filled doctrine, a DEMONIC SPIRIT that is!!!!

  20. Joshua Alicea says:

    Sorry but Oneness= 1914 AD

Trinitarian doctrine 33 AD- to defend against the heretical doctrines you are trying to defend.

  21. Victor Van Der Woude says:

A council isn’t the making up of doctrines but the affirmation of the doctrines already believed but in clearer more precise language.

  22. Darren Stephens says:

    Matthew 3:16-17

All three members of the Trinity were actively and independently present at the baptism of Jesus.

  23. David Stacks says:

Three denominations do not except the trinity. Two are cult.1,oneness Pentecostal 2Latter daySaints3Jehovah witnesses. Council of nicea was a gathering of Christians by the Catholic church to see different views. They also decided that Jesus was divine and not man made. The three denominations or abominations I mentioned do not except the council of nicea

  24. Stan Wosnicki says:

Too bad you don’t bother to do serious historical research.
Then we wouldn’t have to watch people show their lack of integrity.
The council of Nicea merely affirmed what was already being taught.
And no emperor forced any church what to believe.
That is proven by the historical records of said emperor flip flopping between Arianism and trinitarianism throughout his remaining life.
The emperor was baptized by an Arian bishop when he died.

  25. Emmanuel Agui says:

False cults have everything to say except the truth. The Council of Nicea merely DEFINED AND CONFIRMED the apostolic teaching. The meeting actually confirmed WHAT THE CHURCHES believed.

  26. Gabriel Santiago says:

Trinity is existing Before the World Begun. “Elohim” that is trinity

  27. Eric Schneider says:

I guess oneness believers skip reading the book of John. How can you get through that and still believe in modalism.

  28. John Wolf says:

Who spoke from heaven when Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river? What was it that descended upon him from heaven? Who spoke from heaven on the mountain of Transfiguration?

  29. Isaac Olufemi Adekunle says:

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” Matthew 28:19

Acts 5:3-5, 8-9 (KJV) But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the HOLY GHOST, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto GOD .
And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the SPIRIT tof the LORD? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

Matthew 3:16-17 (KJV) And JESUS , when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
And lo a VOICE FROM HEAVEN, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

    (All emphasis mine)

I guess the above were later inserted after your so called Nicea meeting.
The point is:those who have made up their mind in error are not usually open to reasoning!

  30. Ian Hartley says:

Isa 48:16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord (H136 Ad-o-noy) GOD (H3069 ye-ho-veh), and his Spirit (H7307 ruach), hath sent me.
Isa 48:17 Thus saith the LORD (3068 ye-ho-vaw), thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD (H3068) thy God (H430 el-ho eem) which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Ps 91:1,2. Gen 1:2 (the Spirit of God) and Gen 1:26 all contain elements of either the Triunity of God as described in 1 John 5:7 or using el-ho-eem Gods in the plural.

  31. Timpac Capuyan Lloyd says:

Trinitarian doctrine started in Genesis 1:1-3
Oneness started from a dream of one person who came out from azuza street.

  32. Tom Salamone says:

Your logic is invalid. Just because the council of Nicea came after Pentecost does not prove that its conclusions were false. You have to show us from scripture that the trinity is not implicit in the New Testament.

  33. Champ Claussen says:

This is not exactly true. Though that is the council that came up with the name Trinity, there is much historical and Biblical evidence that shows the belief was well before the birth of Yeshua.

  34. Nate Whalen says:

If you don’t like the word Trinity. Use Godhead

  35. Daniel Suboan says:

What do you think is Jesus? Jesus is the Father, Jesus is the Holy Spirit, Jesus is the Son.. that’s funny..When Jesus was baptized in the Water by John the Baptist in Jordan River, there where 3 appearances in his ceremony..the DOVE – it’s speak about the Holy Spirit and the Loud voice from heaven..MY SON …MY SON..that is the FATHER and the one being Baptized by John JESUS..there were 2 persons appeared during the Baptism of Jesus..it cannot be that JESUS be the FATHER, to be the HOLY SPIRIT.. unreconcilable..It was being defined by early church fathers because a lot of hireses coming during those time..one of those the oneness of God..

  36. Isaiah Hess says:

To reject the Trinity is to reject Christ.

  37. Darin Martin says:

Oneness doctrine makes no sense, unless one wants to remain wilfully ignorant.

  38. Patrick Joseph Ward says:

The Councils were putting right What Heretics were trying to Do. There are Still Christians. Out to Double The Trinity.

  39. C Cornell Hicks says:

    INCORRECT!

Council of Nicea merely confirmed what the Bible had been saying about Jesus’s Diety 325 years prior…

  40. C Cornell Hicks says:

If Jesus is not part of the God Head, then nobody is saved nor can we be.

If Jesus is not God, He’s only a creation. Creations caused the sin problem and The Fall. Creations cannot be what corrects the sin problem.

  41. C Cornell Hicks says:

See? We do serve 1 God. The Bible says it plainly. “Here O Israel the Lord our God is One…”

(If that writer was incorrect, do you not think our God would have either corrected or more efficiently just NOT allowed that verse to be placed???)

However, our 1 God is distinctly 3 Divine Persons/Natures…

If not, then those who disagree have to thoroughly explain the two pronouns in this following verse from Genesis, “Come, let US make man in OUR image and after OUR likeness…”

He could not have been talking to angels since 1. angels do not have creative power and 2. Angels were, themselves, created.

  42. Duane Wallenstein says:

The Trinity was present at the baptism of Christ – it’s a quick read, if you have the time. You see Christ the Son, the Holy Spirit (who is also called the Spirit of the Lord) resting upon Him, and the voice of the Father from above. The Trinity is also alluded to in Genesis, when God said, “Let US make God in OUR image.” Since there is one God (again, something simple to locate for the novice Bible student), He can only be referring to Himself the Father, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Trinity has been present since Eternity. Oneness Doctrine disregards this truth, in favor of manmade doctrine.

  43. David Thomas says:

Have you read what they established at the Council of Nicea? The fact that Yahweh is one is one of the foundational principles underlying the Trinity.

  44. Jerry Basiao says:

This is a terrible charge. Council of Niceae did not approve trinity…it simply affirms …what it did is to reject Arius who wanted the heresy of subordination and in effect the oneness doctrine.

  45. Jerry Basiao says:

This guy cannot explain John 1:1

  46. Jerry Basiao says:

Oneness has no historical record in christianity

  47. Jojo Olmstead says:

oneness don’t look at the definitions of singular , plural , muscular and so forth , John 10:30 doesn’t mean what they think it means . “we are “doesn’t mean , me myself and i . but 3 distinct persons in 1 ..

Joh 10:30 I and the Father are one.”

    esmen means “we are “

  48. Scott King says:

The Council of Nicea had nothing to do with the Doctrine of the Trinity. The OP is just really awful ignorance on display.

  49. Steve Losee says:

    THE TRINITY

    A. Evidence: it’s Biblically valid

    Jehovah’s Witnesses:
    “3 Gods in 1”
“Well suited to the Dark Ages which it helped to produce.”

    However:
    Evidence is cumulative.
    Old Testament hints:
Gen. 1:1 (& others) “Elohim” plural (at least 3?)
    Gen. 1:26 “Us” (pl) ) “Image”(Sing) “Our”(pl”) “Likeness”( Sing)
    Gen. 11:7
    Gen. 18:1-3
    Gen. 19:24
    Num. 6:24-26
    Deut. 6:4,5 (re Gen. 2:24)
    Ps. 33:6 (“word…LORD…breath (Spirit)”)
    Ps. 50:1 (“El, Elohim, YHWH”)
    Isa. 6:3
    Isa. 43:11 (hidden): “I, I, I AM” (3 “I”s)
    Isa. 48:16,17 (vs. 12 ref. Rev. 1:17,18)
    Isa. 6017; 61:1,2
    Dan. 2:47

    New Testament Statements:
    Matt. 3:16,17
    Matt. 17: 1-8 (Transfiguration)
    Matt. 28:19 (“Name” sing.)
    Luke 1:35
    Luke 9:28-36 (Transfiguration)
    Acts 10:38
    Rom. 15:15,16
    I Cor. 12:4-6
    II Cor. 13:14
    Gal. 4:6
    Eph. 2:13, 18
    I Pet. 1:2
    I Pet. 3:18 (NAS margin & NIV)
    I John 4:13,14
    I John 2:4; 5:7 (KJV & NKJV; I believe it belongs)

    B. “Understanding”: it’s scientifically valid

Humanity in the Image of God:
    Gen. 1:27
    Gen. 2:7
“Breath” = “spirit” (same word “ruach”; also “wind”)
    body = from dust
man a living soul (nephesh” Heb; “psuche” Gk) (KJV; NAS margin)

    spirit = worship, revelation, conscience
    soul = mind, emotions, will
    body = flesh, blood, bones

    Distinction between soul & spirit:
    I Thess. 5:23
    Heb. 4:12
hence the rror of psychology and psychchiatry…and especially psychics!

Christ, in Incarnate One, is the obvious equivalent of “body”
    Holy Spirit is also obvious
The Father as the “Soul” of the Trinity:
    Mark 13:32 mind
    John 6:38-40 will
    John 16:26,27 emotions

    Rom. 1:20
If this verse is true, we should find a true tri-unity in the physical universe.
    Egg (shell, white, yolk)
    Shamrock (3 leaves)
Water (h2o; 2 parts hydrogen, 1 part oxygen)
    “water, ice & steam”
    atom: neutron, proton, nucleus
    triangle
    human
All of the above are imperfect pictures.

    However:

We live in a tri-une universe.
    1. space
    2. time
    3. matter
Take away any one, and the universe would cease as we know it.

    Gen. 1:1
    “the beginning” –time
“heavens” – shamayim (pl) stretched out expanses or “space:”
“earth” eretz; substance from which things are formed, i.e. “matter”

    J.W. tract title: “1+1+1=1?”
    HOWEVER:
    Space = length, height, width
    Time = past, present, future
Matter = liquid, solid, gas (not enough proof for “plasma”)
    Volume of room: L X H X W or 1x1x1= 1!

  50. Christian Huls says:

Nicea only affirmed what the assemblies/churches ALREADY believed:

There is ONLY One God, and His Name is YHWH.

    The Father is God.
    The Son is God.
    The Spirit is God.

All three are called God and YHWH.

All three are distinct AND united as One.
