It sounds like a cult, maybe Mormonism. If it is they’ll twist and corrupt any Scripture you give them. I wouldn’t respond at all unless the Spirit has them on your heart.

They probably believe that God loves everyone. If God loved everyone He would love the devil. But He obviously does not. God also hated Esau, before he was even born.

I think the story of the rich man and Lazarus in the OT gives adequate evidence of hell and heaven. The rich man had thirst for water. He was aware and concerned. This wasn’t a parable as Lazarus was named, so it was a true story. Revelation talks of hell as a fiery place. I have not seen evidence anywhere in the Bible that contradicts this.

Not sure about the state of mind thing but yeah, hell is temporary. One day, death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire. Oh, that will be hell!

Where did you hear that? You should make a list of everything you HEARD about God, and then verify it against what HE said. In the Bible.
People can’t just make up what they want about God and except Him to honor it. That’s not the order of things.

In the first place where does it reveal in Scripture anyone choosing to follow God apart from the efficacy of His divine calling?
He chooses us. Then your belief in purgatory shines through when even the church of Rome no longer advocates this extra-biblical absurdity.

You should find out what Jesus Christ said about hell to what is being said here you will see that it’s miles apart. This teaching must have originated from hell itself to mislead people from true biblical teaching on hell. Remember God’s mercy is eternal and God’s wrath is also eternal do not put one attribute of God over another attribute. All God’s attributes are infinite and eternal. Love as well as righteousness.

This a p-lain distortion of the Gospel. Jesus died to save us from God’s judgment and wrath. Jesus paint a very clear picture of hell. So does Revelation. It is a place of God’s wrath.

Although I have no Scripture to back this my opinion is that when someone dies without Christ they have made their final choice and even in hell would not choose differently.

It may be Mormonism, but it is not unlike the claims of “Christian Universalism,” who fixate, when it suits them, on the singular literal meaning of words used in scripture, such as the word “All.” And since Jesus is the “Savior of the world,” it must mean all will be saved otherwise he’s not the Savior of the world. Their claim is that all who die in unbelief will be saved eventually in the afterlife. And if everyone is not saved, they assert, by committing a category mistake, it is because “God’s love failed” or “God isn’t strong enough to overcome evil.
They take anything that suggests God’s wrath, fury, vengeance and retribution, to be medicinal and temporary – giving a finite value to the offense of rejecting God’s gift of his Son. The universalist’s defense of their view often reduces to appealing to scripture in an attempt to refute other scripture that opposes their view.
Refuting their view is simple enough: identify what their view implicitly affirms and identify how those affirmations invariably contradict scripture. Since God does not contradict himself and, since God is the Author of scripture, scripture cannot contradict itself, any view that causes either to do so is unavoidably false.

Ask him how he came to that conclusion. If he doesn’t have scripture to back it up, don’t listen to him. If he does have scripture, read the verses yourself and look for what else it might mean. Look for (a) the most obvious and most likely meanings, (b) other possible meanings, and (c) faults with his meaning. If there are no faults with his meaning, and there are no more obvious or more likely meanings, he’s probably right. But something tells me you won’t get past the first step, because he likely doesn’t have scripture to back it up.
