*WHY WE REJECT CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN MUSIC (CCM) IN A NUTSHELL*
Dear reader, think about this question with a heart for the truth and not your feelings please: Why does any form of rock music, hip hop, rap and country western music fit the bar, the night club, the gambling den, the whorehouse, the strip club, BUT a “traditional” style of Christian music would never fit that scene? It is because rock, hip hop, country, and rap etc. were made for those atmospheres. They (CCM) have no place in the Church.
The fact is that rock and rollers, hip hoppers and rappers etc. know exactly what they are doing. They use a style of music that is designed to affect the body in a sensual and even sexual way, a style of music that encourages an atmosphere of moral license and narcissism.
This has been stated repeatedly by the rockers and rappers themselves.
SCRIPTURE THAT REFUTES CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN MUSIC
You might ask what scripture I have to back up our stance against Contemporary Christian Music? There are several, but here are a few that come to mind:(Hover over each verse to view)

When Israel rejected the command to separate and make a clear distinction between the holy and the unholy, God judged them.
“Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them” (Ezek. 22:26).
Whatever is operating in the charismatic-ecumenical movement, it is definitely “another spirit” (2 Corinthians 11:4) when tested Scripturally, and contemporary praise music is that spirit’s vehicle. (David Cloud)
