I don’t concern myself with how born again people dress. They have got to be sanctified. That is accomplished down at the altar.
When people get born again they need to seek and obtain sanctification and that includes walking right, dressing right and acting right. It is not what goes into a person but what comes out.
I just don’t know how you can get away from externals. We are trapped in walking right, talking and acting right.
Theologically we can twist things to allow anything and we are Baptist.
Yes, sanctification is a continues process in our everyday walk with the Lord! it affects every area of our lives!….EVERY BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN KNOWS FARELY WELL HOW SANCTIFICATION AFFECTS HIS/HER DAILY LIFE!…Just as a person knows what enters and what comes out of him!

I was born and raised COG. I was raised to wear long slaves at least to my elbows and my skirts and dresses at the middle of my knees. No makeup…no jewelry. No movies. No mixed swimming. Definately no bekinis.. No smoking.drinking cursing …dancing..or listening to any music but Christian songs. Now what do all.yall say about this? Of course now I’m grown. And most churches that I sometimes visit is…… come as you are. Bc alot of people don’t even own a dress for church. So they come in jeans.
And as I see it .most all women put on makeup and jewelry now-a-days. Soooo the WORD OF GOD has not hanged..!!! People have changed and with that their views on “how we should or can dress for life’s everyday living.
At first….(way back…a time ago) I was confused about all this 2016 . Things r different now.is what everyone would say. It’s ok how u dress for anything. But!!!!! I repeat!!! THE WORD OF GOG” has not changed!!!!! People have changed and their view on christiny
I’m no longer scared as I used to be (confused) I know the difference now. SANTIFICATION definstely. AND a daily walk with GOD on your mind and heart to lead you and guide up in all paths of rightousnesd to keep you from all harm ( or desiring wrong things in life…like other people’s wives and husbands) to keep you on the stright and narrow. With JESUS in mind and heart. As long as we keep our eyes …heart and mind onJESUS. Then what or who do we have to fear? If GOD be for us …who can be against us? Keep your eyes on JESUS. Follow down the “STRIGHT AND NORROW” we should be on our way to.heaven
The bible is not a book of fashion! Leaders in the COG are trying to free us from law and legalism yet some of you have such a nostalgia for the past that you would frustrate their efforts.
