Some ask, “What is a Churchman?” The Word Churchman is directly related to Stateman, the only difference Churchman relates to the Church; whereas, Statesman refers to secular Government. Both words convey the idea that right or wrong, both the Churchman & Statesman remain regardless what may occur. This means that a Churchman remains with the Church regardless what the Church becomes in its future. Churchmen become traditionally committed. Dr Ray H Hughes, Sr can be thought of as a Churchman, as well as Dr T L Lowery. There are many others as well that could be named.

I am not sure Dr Lowery would be a “churchman”
