Church Of God Selects Atlanta Pastor As Leader

INDIANAPOLIS — Church of God leaders have selected the pastor of a prominent Atlanta church as their new general overseer. The Rev. Paul L. Walker, 64, senior pastor of Mount Paran Church of God, was chosen to succeed Robert White, who was accused in July of insubordination by the church’s governing council because he reportedly kept $40,000 in profits from religious books he had written rather than turning the money over to the denomination.

They worked out all the problems. There was another party involved & misunderstanding. Don’t remember all but he is one great preacher! Water under the bridge.

What is the Doyle Daughtery connection to this story?

Actscelerate won’t discuss this – what is the problem?

  8. A total disgrace among several who opposed Rev. White. I think it was a play to get him not to run for re-election., and since he did not make that commitment, then the only other route was to dismiss him.

  9. Charles Page says:

Are there records of the preceding? It was an open hearing at General Headquarters.

  10. Check with Daughtery. He would know. He published details of it, including the men with guns at HQtrs.
