When John Fisher became Admiral of the sea for England it was said that the only thing the sailors talked about was which deck needed to be scrubbed and which walls needed to be repainted. Fisher drove the seamen hard to get ready for real war and and he taught them how to get real results.
I get the feeling that much of the talk in the Church of God is geared around peripheral things and that we are not seriously involved in doing things that really make a difference.
