Some interesting numbers: The North Georgia district is one of the strongest districts for the COG. In a quick overview I counted ( 4 ) churches with over 1000 in average weekly attendance, ( 47 ) with attendance averaging 100 to 500 and ( 44 ) with attendance with less than ( 50 ), NG is also a strong area for the SBC and for the UMC, guess there’s some hope for us after all !

What should we hope to be accomplished in NG?

These are interesting comments. What are reasonable expectations? In this area there are churches ever few blocks ( seven within a mile of my house ) so the competition is strong. Only the best leadership in both clergy and laity is likely to realize any real gains. Attrition through death, moving and dissatisfaction presents an every day challenge.
