[The vision which Isaiah saw when he was recognized to be a prophet of the Lord, was intended: 1. To confirm his faith, that he might himself be sufficiently satisfied of the truth of the things which were about to be made known to him. 2. To work upon his affections, that he might be influenced with such an admiration of God that would both quicken him and establish him to this calling. When we are to teach others about how to really “know” of God we must be well acquainted with him ourselves!] “…I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD ALMIGHTY; THE WHOLE EARTH IS FULL OF HIS GLORY.” (Isa. 6:1-3) [A vision such as this should make us very aware of just how fragile we are and HOW AWESOME OUR ABBA FATHER REALLY IS!] “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and MY EYES HAVE SEEN THE KING, the LORD ALMIGHTY.” (Isa. 6:5) [Only the pure in heart shall see God; and they only can live in his presence for ever, We must take this to heart; and instead of boasting of our excellence, and trusting in our ability, or comforting ourselves of our relative innocence, we also must BE HUMBLE before him, because we have been of unclean lips, and because we had an unclean heart.] “Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; YOUR GUILT IS TAKEN AWAY AND YOUR SIN ATONED FOR.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “HERE AM I. SEND ME!” (Isa. 6:6-8) [Jesus gave instructions to his followers] “Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, THEY WORSHIPED HIM;” (Matt. 28:16-17) [Listen to what He said to them:] “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I have commanded you. And surely I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, TO THE VERY END OF THE AGE.” (Matt. 28:18-20)
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that we are to GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS! HERE I AM LORD, SEND ME!
