Catholics : we don’t worship images , protestants don’t submit to the church
Protestants: we don’t worship images like those Catholics , Catholics don’t submit to the Bible.
The bible : an image is an image, Catholic or protestant.

But why many Statues?

The crucifix is a graven image, and the verse doesn’t say you can’t make an image. It says don’t make an image and BOW to it. Catholics purposely bow towards the crucifix. We bow in our seats to the front or back of church, or any direction at all. No one is taught to bow towards the cross. Again, images aren’t sin unless they are made for the purpose of bowing to them. Moreso, the crucifixes are made for the purpose of bowing to them. We bow only when we pray to God in Heaven. They bow at the statue representing Christ all throughout the service.

Unfortunately catholics do worship images. All you have to do is walk in to a catholic temple and see for yourself. To know they pray to dead people who don’t answer praters is listen to them pray to mary and peter and so on. The catacism says that the pope is God on earyh this is blasphemy. We must not bow to this babylonian doctrine, or postmodern nonsense. Stick to His Word and not paganism.

We are not to submit to the church, or the catholic church for that matter, we are to submit and be subjected to God’s Word.

We worship idols in our hearts everyday if not careful. Our denomination can become our idol. Our favourite pastor can become our idol. Our children can become our idol. Mothers Day can turn mothers into idols. Fathers Day can turn fathers into idols. Etc

Though practices would not matter in our salvation, but it puts our faith to question. To whom our trust resides? To whom do we bow down? God’s image or God Himself? Or other people or famous people that we look up to?
I have heard some catholic “reason out” that they do not worship or pray to images and such, that its more efficiently for them to pray when looking at a physical likeness of God such as wooden images. But i see them bowing down, crying, kissing, rubbing clothes at it as of a cure to physical disease, using the water it was cleansed with as a kind of medication for body pain and diseases, etc. Are those things ive said not considered as God addresed as Idolatry?
Aside of that, people were ‘idolizing’ celebrities, spending money for it’s posters and merchandise which the celebrity has its sign or name or face on, flying to another place or country to attend their concerns and such. Spending money to be in their events such us concerts, meet and greet, world tours, conferences, presscons, etc. Are these also considered as God addresed as idolatry?Can someone shed light of what idolatry really is?

I do not believe the Bible is an image.

Roman Catholic church teaches salvation through works. Jesus brings salvation by grace. Polar opposites. Clue. One is false, and it’s not the grace of Jesus.

If the catholic church is the church of the real God we are in trouble, on the other hand if you don’t know that the bible is the word of God than God help you.

As a Christian I do not worship the cross I worship Jesus. The cross is so people know that this is a place of worship. It represents to the world what happen at the cross!

Catholic faith been hear for a while. There going to be a knot in the believe that catholic can’t worship pray, share, love devote the time talent OR treasure without instructions from their manual the Bible.

My main point with all this is to say if you are a ChristIan obsessed with trying to reprovr everyone else’s tradition without looking at you’re own then you may have just gone from one lie to another and are no better even though it may be a better move toward the truth .

The Eucharist is a Pseudo-Christ. I don’t think Protestants are protesting about images of Jesus, although it seems to detract from my mental image of Him. Protestants protest at the denial that Jesus’ death (the actual and only time it happened) really is (the one time it actually happened) effective to save! And talking to someone who has physically died (with the exception of God Jesus, of course – He’s alive again, and He’s God) is necromancy, and these images (though not really the issue) are involved in doing that. The images point to the horrific and gigantic problems of accepting a mental model of God that subverts the core of salvation doctrine and of talking to people who have physically died.
