   But then you have to sacrificed to earn the Holy Ghost! I was accused of preaching heresy when I claimed that we received the Holy Spirit when we were saved or regenerated and were subsequently sanctified by the Holy Spirit who already resided within us.

   You get saved, then sanctified and then baptized in the Holy Ghost. All in that order.

   It was the AoG who was involved with the different baptisms. The CoG was not involved in that mess.
