He has some very interesting opinions on spritually. I really respect how he kept his foundation in Jesus but was willing to study other paths to learn what he could. Maybe we could learn from this approach

What does evolution have to do with whether Jesus is “alive” or not? You are confusing science and religion. A bad mix.

Euhh but what did Elvis do with evolution? He wasn’t a biologist. He was a singer.

Augustine said, and I’m paraphrasing, if science discovers something in opposition of scripture then we must conclude that our interpretation of scripture is wrong. Perhaps this is the case with “evolution”.

Variation or microevolution is true. Macro-evolution is a false theory and God prophesied a warning that it would tell lies about the origins of the Earth and that it would cause many to fall away from the faith. Every part of that prophecy about uniformitarianism/evolution has come true.

I don’t think evolution is dead. I think it’s the major force behind most university biology classes.
